Just checked the payout structure and it's very little... 9th gets $36.23, first gets $122.89. I was expecting it to be a little more but not many people entered the tournament. Currently coming first out 10.

Ran up my bankroll to $500 again, got stoned and decided it was a good idea to take a shot at 2 tables of 200PLO. Luckily, I had the discipline to stop when I busted. I've still got $100 in the account and am going to set myself a challenge. I'm going to 8 table 10PLO & 5PLO Rush n' Cash. I'm going grind 24 hours starting in half an hour when the leaderboard resets. I'll take first place in both leaderboards for of $90 and $55. Rake back is huge on GGpoker, I think you get close to 100% rake back if you put in enough volume at the micro stakes. Leaderboard, ThanksGG Flip tournament and fish buffet all add up. I think $300/daily is achievable at 10PLO/5PLO is you know how to put in enough volume. I used to be supernova elite on Pokerstars back in the day so am no stranger to putting in volume and carving out a living from rake back alone. I'm also going to see how deep stacked I can get at a single table just for fun; I'll share a picture of the final result. My record is 40buy ins at a single table on Pokerstars back in the day when PLO was infested by serious fish who had no idea what they were doing. I wish I had a bunch of ritalin or something similar, it's a magical drug when it comes to poker. Probably fairly easy to source! Anyway time to pound a couple of coffees and chain smoke for the next 30mins before the leader board resets. Good luck at the tables everyone!

I can't play 8 tables of rush n' cash/zoom for any decent period of time while maintaining proper focus. I dropped two of the 5PLO tables. Ran my bankroll up to $200. Something came over me again, I jumped into 25PLO and started playing like a spazz monkey. I had no problem playing like 22VPIP nit at 10PLO/5PLO but the moment I jumped up and the money became 'significant' I couldn't play right. Was probably playing a 35VPIP with 20% 3-bet, any decent run downs and I was trying to get it in and gamble. I got lucky and won a buy in and had the sense to stop. Currently on $225. Going to take a little break and try and stick to 10PLO. Jumping up stakes is by FAR the biggest leak in my game and something I need to work on. It's so damn tough for a lot of us poker players and is the most difficult part of playing the game successfully. Also sorry if it's annoying this thread constantly getting bumped to the top, I'm using it as my pretty pointless personal journal. If it's annoying I'm happy to end the thread.

Thanks for the encouragement and motivation. My symptoms are almost completely under control thanks a monthly injection of abilifi (spelling?).

Running pretty good at one table in particular, on 15BIs. Still got 14 hours before the leaderboard resets so I'm hoping I run it up a little more. There's something so satisfying about sitting deep at a table.

I think the energy that playing poker confers attracts us because our disorders destabilize our moods/cognition and poker helps with attention focus and dopamine production. The medication side effects often cause us to feel dull which can be counteracted by the high from playing. That’s just my theory.

Thanks, was at $600, nicely rolled for 10PLO. Decided to play 25PLO spewed a bit and moved up to 200PLO busted the account. Gambling addiction is real and hard to combat. I've got $100 coming in from leaderboard prizes but honestly don't think I have the discipline to use proper BRM. I'm doomed to constantly go bust or sun run it up. Feel like an idiot but that's my reality at the moment.

Just busted my $22.58 from the ThanksGG Flipout playing 50PLO :/ waiting half an hour for my leaderboard prizes then I'll probably shot take 4 tables of 25PLO like an idiot.

**** it, I'll try and be responsible - it's so tough to use BRM when you've just come from busted a slightly larger bankroll. I just checked and I've only got $67.50 coming in from leaderboard prizes. I'm going to chain smoke with a coffee and meditate for 15 minutes and try and not think about the money and just grind out 10PLO. In reality I can grind out $200/daily no problem and would be rolled for 25PLO within a week if I just had the discipline. I'll see how deep stacked I can get across 4 tables of 10PLO. Sorry for having such a shitty/unsuccessful blog. The idea was that it would motivate me to use BRM and grind out the micros. Has anyone got deep into meditation before? I've seen real benefits in mental clarity even with smaller 15/30min sessions.

Given your current mental condition, suicide attempts, history of gambling addiction and financial status, poker really is the last thing you need in your life.

Being around happy people, eating healthily, getting regular/hard exercise, and getting some meaningful work that helps others is much more likely to bring you joy than playing an addictive, zero-sum game.

Thailand is a beautiful country with plenty of opportunity to teach English and live a good life-style. My recommendation is get a visa to teach English, join a Thai-boxing gym and become a beast (can even have some fights which is way more exciting than poker), date some women you meet or join a dating site, book some Thai language lessons, and enjoy one of the most beautiful cultures on the planet.

Some adventure in your life might be what you're looking for, and poker is a cheap replacement for that.

Tip: Stay away from bar-girls + drugs and keep your wits about you when dating, all the horror stories seem to come from tourists who go there to exploit the working girls or do something stupid when high. I lived there for 2 years and never had any trouble.

If it doesn't get moved soon you might try pm'ing niss. He's the only mod of this subforum and thus the only mod, other than an admin, who can move it for you.

Thanks so much for taking the time out to give me some advice, it's all very solid. I know poker isn't healthy for me and isn't going to serve me being happy but I'm an addict so unfortunately will continue! I still live under what is probably a delusion that I can make it work.

I actually joined a muay Thai gym for a month in Thailand a couple of years ago and it was probably the happiest I've been in years; it was a place called Team Quest in Chiang Mai. It's also easy to be social when you've got likeminded people doing similar things to you. I'll be careful if/when I move to Thailand and don't really see myself getting into too much trouble.

On a positive note I stuck to 10PLO and grinded up 40 buy ins yesterday playing pretty much all day and night. My bankroll is sitting at $450. I'm hoping I can stay disciplined and stick to bankroll management, I'm planning to put in another marathon session. I would love to be living in Thailand, working out while grinding poker successfully. Thanks again for the input!

you had $200-300 in the first few posts and lost it all..

Anytime you get a three digit roll you want to play higher and higher stakes...

I mean its pretty obvious this is a pipe dream. Your first post was you outlining your bankroll plan and the next few you said you cant be bothered with PLO2...

You're just going to become more depressed if you keep this up.

Better to quit and get a 9-5 gig, find a girlfriend and live a happy life.

That's the plan I don't know why but I'm feeling this time is the time I'm going to crush and stick to bankroll management. Beating the game isn't the issue and I'm actually enjoying playing 10PLO at the moment. It can be interesting when you're a bit more deep stacked. I'm going to be a man and grind out $300 or so a day for a week into I'm rolled for 25PLO.
