Hi all,

Hero is playing a $25 btn straddle $50 SB blind raise (formerly second straddle) 5/5 game and this hand hero has been dealt (against his will...not a fan of the blind $50) the lovely ATT52 (no relevant suits) and it limps around, we go four ways to ($200): T-6-5hh. V1 is overly aggressive euro and likes stabbing, V2 is tight passive, V3 is a pretty good reg. Hero started with $1,700.

Hero checks, V2 checks, V1 in co bets pot ($200), V3 on btn calls, hero calls waiting for a good turn to get the rest in. V2 calls behind as well. Merits to just x/raising flop instead? If we raise, we will have a ton of bad turns OOP at 1 spr where I may have to just check/fold, which I wanted to try to avoid. Any heart, 7,8,9,sometimes 2s/3/4s too.

Turn ($800): Ks. Looks like a decent turn as no immediate draws completed like the straight draw or flush draw (except KK with a flush draw). Checks to V1 again who bets $700, btn folds, hero rips last $1,500 or so. V2 tanks for a little and calls, V1 looks exasperated and snaps.

Thanks,
DT

Flop xr is much better line as played. We don't care about seeing safe turns if we can get in enough of our stack and be commited to seeing river.

Do you donk here too? I like c/r best, one of the few times I didn’t for some reason. Maybe because I had just eaten McDonald’s…?

I think this is hi/lo but you have the scoop nuts on the flop with a heart draw on board - I'm check raising immediately with all the dead money.

I like having leads here but at this SPR can be a bit tricky finding an appealing size.

I´m not on board with wanting to see a turn card before committing - we have top set and we get basically our entire stack in. A re-pot would be to 1000, leaving us with 700 behind and 2k in the pot, if we get called we need of course get the rest in on any turn card, but we really don´t mind picking up the pot right here. By just calling we also invite the villain behind us to join in with semi-crappy hands that might improve on the turn to beat us, because there really aren´t any turn cards that we want to see that are not board-pairing. 2-9 complete the straights, hearts complete the flush, and all overcards potentially give our villains a higher set.

I´d actually rather fold than just call.

If you x/r flop and get a single caller the turn SPR will be like .3 or something not 1. No decisions left.

This... if your stack was 3k I'd say your line makes more sense, but with $1.7k just pot it and spike a river boat if a flush comes on the turn.
