Hi All - I've been playing PLO now for a year and read a few good books. I always feel like I'm leaving money on the table with my hands and was looking for some good books or videos on bet sizing or when to bet pot. Here are some examples of errors I feel like I'm making

I'll call a raise with QQXX and flop is like Q/J/7 with 2 of a suit. With multiple people in and knowing someone has a flush draw and someone else has a wrap I play pretty timid unless the board pairs figuring I'm only a 40% favorite against. Should I be potting this the entire way and just ride the variance train

I'll call a raise with Q/J/9/8 and the flop will be like 10/7/2 with 2 of a suit and I'm unsuited. Someone will pot it for like $100 and there will be 2 callers. I just call. Should I be getting it in here. I know that one of the players has top set.

I guess I'm playing with a bit of scared money. These are 2-2 games with usually 5-6 callers to a raise and $60 in the pot preflop

Looking for guidance on when to pot it and when to check/call and when to maybe bet like 1/2 pot? Thank you

I would start by breaking down the pros and cons to betting vs checking, potting it vs betting small, etc. No book is going to teach you that - you need to analyze every play and figure out why you should or should not do something.

Came here to say I've seen this as well. Bet sizing school is the name I believe. Haven't watched it though.

Hand 1 - top set, you should be potting this or looking for check raise/get it in unless extremely deep when you can sometimes wait for a good turn to spring the trap. These hands are some of the most profitable, so yes you are losing a ton of value by not playing these aggressively to charge the draws. Your 40% is probably the highest equity share multiway so every dollar that goes in makes you money on average.

Hand 2 - wraps on flush draw flops lose a lot of their value multiway, just let it go.

Generally on draw-heavy flops you want to go bigger, on dry, smaller.

Really depends, like waaaaay more so than NLHE

Right now for example I am working on balancing my top end value bet sizing in MW low medium SPR pots OOP when the board doesn't change OTR and I was not aggressor OTF/OTT
