Hi all,

PLO, V is fun gambler lady who hero is on good terms with and often banters with while playing together. She is capable of big bluffs though. Hero opens AKQJ5hhh to ace and we go five ways:

($100): AcJc4h. Hero $75, only nice lady calls to hero's immediate left.

Turn ($250): 6d. Hero $225, she calls.

River ($700): Qs. Hero? Do we block bet here, check? We have a K, making KT less likely. Hero block bets $115, V says disappointed "no clubs!" looks back at her hand and then after a few seconds says "POT." We have over $1,000 left and V covers.

Thanks,
DT

I feel like block bets are not to be used as intended anymore as they seem to get raised a lot more than they use to. Conversely using them when your nutted is the way to go esp if villians range is weaker. As played I would just fold without more info - would expect her to have nut clubs on the turn if she has clubs, so very easy for her to have KT.

Very unlikely to be bluffing after making that comment imo.

I also don't think I would be block betting the river. Kcc will feature heavy in her range so naturally will have a high amount of KT. I'll check/decide based on bet sizing, reads, etc.
