Hi all,

Online 6-handed PLO Omaha 1/2.

CO ($400) has been raising ~50% of hands with VPIP >70%.

Checks around to CO who raises to $7. Button calls. Hero ($190) raises with AsKsAcQh to $30. Only CO calls. Heads up to flop.

Flop ($69): 9d6d6c. Hero checks, CO checks.

Turn ($69): 3s. Hero bets $35, CO calls.

River ($139): Kh. Hero bets $50. CO calls.

I do not love the way I played it, but I find this spot difficult. Bet flop? I did not like the 66 and 2 diamonds. Betting there probably gets called high % of time by villain regardless, which makes turn tricky. Bet size on turn? Did not want to check river as creates tough decision on calling what may or may not be bluff in this particular case, fold to a raise.

Thanks,
DB

I like the flop check - bet/folding sucks. I would expect to see a lot of QQ/JJ here by how the villain played it - I don't like your river sizing as it's highly exploitative and he can raise the river very easily putting you in a tough spot.

A good heuristic for betting this spot is you want to be blocking a 9, diamonds, wraps and unblocking their calling range(KK, QQ). Your hand fails all of them so easy check. Turn same, so probably a check(although a 3 is probably better for our range). River we block the K, so not really sure what CO can call with, but I'd probably block bet since it wouldn't be fun to face a large bet.
