Hi all,

5/5/25, pretty active player opens hj $75 hero AAK93 $250 co, heads up with $750 behind.

Flop ($525): 762hhd. We don’t have hearts but we have one heart blocker in the 9h and bdnfd. I just potted it to get it in here looked good enough at low spr. We block 98T wraps too. Is there merit to waiting for a good turn? Or bet smaller to keep his range wider?

Thanks,
DT

I don't think so given stack sizes. I'm fine with how you played it.

If we were oop I like pot a lot. But IP I think there's room for preserving our positional advantage and betting smaller, even at this stack depth. Especially if the oop player doesn't recognize that he should have leads here and checks 100%. I'm less familiar with 5card than 4card but guess that our advantage still comes from overpairs much more than being ahead on sets and draws around this board.

Betting half here leaves us with half pot when called. Seems meaningful enough for terrible turns. Could go smaller too.

IDK, open to more discussion.
