I knew that I'm going to fold if raised. Only wanted to know if there is any reason not to fold there.
Also is checking better on flop?
If I'm behind I'm drawing to: few flush outs that won't give him FH / 2 aces.
If I'm ahead only run outs that can beat me are some random runner-runner straights / FH.
So should I check there to let him bluff on later streets/ fold on 2nd/rd barrel?
It seems like there's no sense in betting flop...
how many hands are we getting 3 streets of value from? x flop or b/c seem like the most reasonable lines here. maybe villain is creative enough to x/r this board because it doesn't connect with preflop 3bettor very often.
Agreed with others on flop play, this is a WA/WB situation, which is pretty rare in PLO (much more common in holdem). By checking flop we pretty much guarantee we get to see all 5 cards.
I would definitely bet this flop. Maybe its wrong but I want worse flush draws to come along. If he has the 3 we can still hit a flush or an A. ON paired boards I always bet 1/3rd with strong and weak hands to balance out my ranges. When he raises i still call and re evaluate the turn. I tend to bluff raise paired boards that don't hit my opponents 3b range and I get a ton of folds and I have complete air sometimes. So its not always the nuts. If they are smart enough to know you just have an over pair and 833 is not really in your 3b range often then your going to get bluff raised in spots like this sometimes. If its a bad player or an abc guy you can fold but I would still see a turn a lot of the times to re evaluate the situation especially being deep. Your hand a little to strong to fold the flop imo especailly over 200 bbs deep and you can always turn an A and wreck him if he has a boat
