Hi all,

5/5 $25 plo5 btn straddle. We are $1,400 eff. in a slightly tougher than usual line up. V is pretty aggro and has been raising when it is my button extremely frequently and I have been folding most of my (junk) hands. This time we get a semi-decent one in the QdTd9c7c6h and defend our btn closing the action five ways.

Flop ($500): Kc-Jc-5d. Checks through.

Turn: Ad. Checks to hero otb who bets $500 with the nuts and two flush draws, maybe one of which is good, but since they are not to the nuts and we unblock sets, we need to deny equity as much as possible. V asks for a count of hero's stack, thinks, and c/r $2,000, tilted V in CO tank calls for a little more than hero, I assume we snap? Anyone make a tight fold pre?

Thanks,
DT

I think in plo5 for me this is best spot we could ask for snap and I guess going against maybe same hand and also maybe a set with draws. I think this is a definite snap. Unsure about pf.

seems like a dream spot OTT.. youre even ahead of TOP set + NFD
http://www.propokertools.com/simulations
pretty hard to think of a weird worst-case situation where youre not at least breaking even.

I would be inclined to 3b pre and try to iso. Family pots are better for NFD hands , and your hand is definitely good enough to call a 4b/ ship 3way if two people spazz after ur 3b (typically blocking eachothers aces)

here is sample AIPF equities
QdTd9c7c6h 39.27%
aakjq 28.96%
aa552 31.77%

3B pre imo

Of course we snap as played. Pre-flop there might be a case for tight fold based on low SPR and gaps at the top of our rundown, but don't mind the call.

You have 25% in a worst case scenario (both have higher fds, one w/set, one w/QT) in a spot where you need to be good ~22%. You could work this out yourself, you know.

It looks like we want to see an offsuit deuce on the river here. But with blockers on the flushes and the nuts with one card to come I'm not folding it here. With two opponents in we've increased the possibility that they're blocking one another from either the flush or full house draws as well. I'm getting my stack in.

V is in the BB? You're really short here - about 60bb - so if you defend and get this flop this short you are never folding. Folding pre is fine but you have the button so i'm fine with a call if closing the action. 3bet getting it in vs someone aggro is also good as your hand is decent enough to go with it and will stop him from iso raising you all the time.

I would try and get it in on the flop to try and get it heads up and if I get coolered i'm not risking much.

Turn is gin

Why would you fold this pre in position? Unless there's a shorty in between that may squeeze blow up the pot, were all holding hands to the flop.

With that being said, you gotta have steals/float, steals to defend your button calling range or their just gonna grind their range adv.

I'm not folding but it's not terrible - I would say all options are on the table in this hand pre

Which one is best is tough to decide and marginal so for me i'm cool with them all.

I might just choose to rip this one in pre to stop that guy from playing against us all the time - gotta make a stand eventually
