Okay, sorry if this is the wrong spot. If it is feel free to tell me I'm dumb and move it.
Final table of a 3 dollar event with about 1000 runners. I'm fairly new to PLO. Basically, the all in guy was very passive, the other guy betting in the pot with me was very aggressive. Other than that I don't know, like I said I'm new.

Basically I knew I couldn't win the main pot, but the all in guy would still be really short even if he won it, and I felt like I could take the side pot (which was more substantial.) I realize this play goes against normal Tournament Strategy but I think sometimes you have to do the unexpected play.
Please tell me what I did wrong/right. Thanks for your time.
