I raise pre, not great position but I still want to take control of the pot

Reads would help a lot, but as played I would probably fold

Maybe posting my thoughts will encourage rather than stifle discussion. I don't play a ton of PLO but I've heard that position is more important than in Hold'em and I remembered a hand where I got owned betting the nut flush draw and whiffing against bottom set. I figured the chances of his folding to a raise were around 0, and I was too deep to get it in on the flop regardless of how much I made it. So with AA and two pretty bad supporting cards, I elected to just limp.

The flop looked good, but folding to a raise with only t600 invested was part of my plan. I would like to hear if this makes me a nit.

that's fine, if you're going to limp crappy aces it's usually to overset someone or take one stab/call one bet on a dry flop.

Flops dont come much dryer than this in omaha, zero draws out there, villian could be holding TPTK and feel good

They arent the worst AAxx either, the A4 can work as well as the 46 on lower boards, some suits would help but again there are only backdoor draws.

I would def raise pre with these in that position, without hitting a set you find yourself in this exact position where you need to throw away to any kind of aggression

Yeah that is actually the very driest flop that could possibly come.

So if I raise pre a flop raise and 3-bet gets me all-in. Should that have been my goal?

Dont set a goal to get your money in regardless of the flop, but raise pre to get control of the pot, could even pick up the blinds/limp anyway with a raise

On that flop a c-bet after a preflop raise shows a lot of strength and villian will only come back with a strong hand, on a board like this he will only come back with a set or call with 2 pair and make folding much easier

This is a case of not knowing where you are and probably folding with the best hand
