We are 4 handed. I have just started playing with this player. They seem more conservative overall but have definitely shown a few bluffs in a few spots. They have been pretty tight preflop. I think preflop is on the cusp, but they have been folding their BB a lot.

100BB stacks

Preflop: Hero has A T 7 2 in SB
2 folds, Hero raises to 3BB, BB calls

Flop: Q 7 T
Hero checks, villain bets 4.5BB, Hero calls

Turn: 2
Hero checks, Villain bets 15BB, hero calls

River: 5
Hero checks, Villain bets 45BB, hero?

Is this spewy to call down on this run out?

In Hold'em the worst hand 72. It is still relevant in Omaha, you can never have a hand with 4 card inter-playability. Here you are not even suited to the Ace. After rake your hand is likely a loser and should most likely be folded at most stakes.

As played part #1, is difficult for me to discuss because I wouldn't be in this situation. For example, I would have been double suited or singled to the Ace to have played AT72 and on this board would have been talking about my bottom two pair with regards to if I also had a nut flush draw, backdoor nut flush draw type stuff.

As played part #2, you were the preflop aggressor, why did you give up the flop initiative on a board in which you hit two pair and have the nut flush blocker?

As played part 3, if you had bet the flop, then that 2 on the turn changes nothing and you could have double barreled.

I am mad at every part of the way you played this hand. I am so offended that I think you owe me a beer or at least some leftover Thanksgiving sweet potato pie.

As I mentioned, I know preflop is not ideal, but this particular player has been very tight preflop. I was not betting this flop because there are so few turns that I am happy to see. My thinking was to try and keep the pot small. If I bet this flop and get raised, I have to fold.

&^&*$%($# when I saw a reply I thought you were typing to ask where to send me a gift card for my beer.

Rake is brutal. We all know it. But we still don't truly appreciate how brutal. The reality that even now doesn't get enough love is that splashing around in close situations is unprofitable because of how insane the rake is at Omaha. You get screwed coming and going. Some of what you just wrote is that you didn't hit hard enough so you want to keep the pot small. If you keep the pot small, then you get raked the maximum percentage by not reaching the rake cap. This is why you have to hit hands hard in PLO to be able to win at showdown OR have so many ways to keep cbetting so that you can get you opponents to fold. Splashing around with weaker hands that your mind tricked you into deviating from basic preflop strategy accomplishes neither.

It is cool the way you played the hand. I'm just a rake is brutal prophet and sweet potato pie lover.

I'd definitely bet the flop. As played I won't be folding the river

Not having Q and having As is bad for you. I would fold this hand mostly given the line.
Preflop is atrotious even if some players overfold.
