2/4 6-handed online

Villain appears to be multi-tabling reg but very aggro with 3-bets in position. Definitely the highest frequency 3-bettor at the table. Not sure how he is after the flop but doesn't seem too crazy.

Hero (CO) has $400 stack
Villain (BTN) has ~$1,000

Hero in CO with A Q J 9

Hero raises to $14, Villain (BTN) quickly 3-bets to $48.

Flop is Q 8 3

Hero pots for $96, planning to call any shove.


I guess my main question here is do you guys just 4-bet and get it in pre? The more I think about it, the more I think it makes sense as I put his 3-bet range from the BTN here on at least 25% if not 30% or higher. My hand is about 53% against a 30% raising range and I imagine he folds to our 4-bet maybe 20% of the time... so seems like the easy way to play this hand is to just 4bet to mitigate any post-flop positional advantage Villain may have.

I mean if he's truly 3betting that wide than go ahead and 4b. The good thing is he'll assume your range is AA/KK heavy so he'll make mistakes postflop if he calls. As played I don't think potting is good at all.

Against over-aggro player happily 4! and stacking off pre.

Not sure why we are betting flop if he is cbetting light we do better to xr. Xr and xc both options depending on sizing.

More than likely check potting - just don't like leading out with a pot as he can play pretty close to perfect against us at this point.
