V2 - Btn. just under $1,500. just got back from dinner; before he left he had been one of the more active people pre-flop, having seen him 3b 3 or 4 times. Right before he left for dinner he won a big pot with a straight flush on the river. otherwise the table is the ideal small stakes live PLO game - loose calls pre, few 3 bets, and a lot of folds post. Our image is fairly tight MAWG; I haven't had to show down any hands and have steadily built stack from initial $1k max buyin. He re-pots ($96)

V1 re-pots to $328.

What should we do?

Set your cards on fire. I don't play live much but don't 3 bet with rainbow one-gappers.

Fold both times.

Given the action it is possible both Vs have AA and we are a favorite except in some wonky situations where one AA has our side cards too. I'd be tempted to gamble here with my 40% against their likely 30%. But I'd fold the first time instead of 3!. Not only do you have the gap but you are in EP and have a triple-suited hand. Making this AA v. AA situation somewhat less likely is your description of V2. Unless he's been smacked with the deck he sounds like a bit of a maniac so no guarantee he has AA, which is another reason to fold.

But I'm lazy and stupid so you probably shouldn't listen to me anyway. But I fold pre and if I somehow get here like you did, reluctantly fold and hope not to see two AAs.

Easy fold as played. Initial 3! is frisky, even if utg is light with this many players left to act we are opening ourselves to trouble.

We can also be a little more selective by playing stronger combinations of jt87 with higher ranked flush draws and/or two suited hands.

I thought this was closer than the responses indicate - was definitely thinking about this more along the lines of DT re: AA vs AA, which in live low stakes is the most likely scenario in my experience. I guess the question is how likely does it need to be to make this worth getting our chips in -

Equally weighted = 31.8%, so if we put 1.5 into a 4.0 pot (37.5%) we don’t have the odds to call.

if we assume equal probability of the two non AAvAA hands we’d need probability of AAvAA to be 67% to call. If we had had three equal stacks to start, that drops to 42%.

So JT87 is not really a good hand - even DS can be tough to play as you never make strong flushes. Interestingly we have 34% if villains have KK,AA. Now the problem is if you run into a broadway rundown like AKQJds - then your equity plummets. Just fold and move on

If the Hero's hand were J-J-T-9 ds on the BTN are we still folding? If we do decide to play, would a 3Bet vs UTG be correct or do we flat the BTN? In my mind, if we're playing, wouldn't we want to 3Bet to try to iso UTG? JJT9ds seems considerably more vulnerable mutilway, as opposed to HU vs. UTG.

I agree with folding both times as well. And I think it's more of a issue of yeah, we may have what we need to call here, but why take this spot when they will be giving us much juicer spots later on?

Fold unless you're just there to gamble. Even if you have a some kind of +EV here it is going to be what, a 2-3% edge at most? Not worth the increased variance and tilt in such a marginal spot.
