Your choice, eh? I don't like the free cards as you don't want any pairs to boat up for free. Obv would like 3 overs, but 2 will do .. and then there's those Players who just wont give up their flush draws even on a paired Board!

I think anything from $100 to pot is fine. Anything you bet will still open up action if you get shoved on by a short stack so the fear that you will re-pot to isolate will be there. While that very well could be an overplay in a Bomb Pot at least the fear of you doing so will be there. You're OTB, you know your V types .. are any 77xx in the deeper stacks really checking here? You'd think that they have to protect against any Qxxx from boating up. If a short stack has 77xx then you take your medicine, but a 77xx Player who doesn't protect here is one that I want at my table. Yes, sure, they maybe were going for the x/r against any Qx but it's a larger risk giving the free card and losing Flop value IMO.

Now there are sessions where I just let this go by 'hoping' that the Turn is not a flush card. If you are in a good game with a good sense of how the 'normal' hands go then I see no reason to go nuts in a Bomb Pot and let someone get a 'free' double by the chance of just seeing a cheap Flop. GL

I wasn't sure if 77xx checks or bets. I can see other Qx checking if they have weak danglers. I'm fine with GII vs a shorter stack but not sure if I get raised what to do against a bigger stack. We really only lose to Q7 which there is only 1 combo of and 77 which there are only 3 combos. It is a bomb pot so anything is possible.

Decision:
Spoiler:
hero bets $100, folds to MP who makes it $400. Folds to hero, hero?

He started the hand with ~$1000
He seems like a decent player but I haven't played too much with him so it's hard to say. Only 1 session before this.

It is the year 2023, the year of backdoor flush love. You guys are going to have to start stating whether your hand includes backdoor suitedness. You currently have trips, but you being able to improve to the nut flush is even better and flushes cannot be tied, trips can be tied. There are lots of situations where hands are played differently based on if you have two backdoor flush draws, one backdoor flush draw or no backdoor flush draw.

The easy answer to hands that are less than 100bb poker is to play it fast if you have a solid hand. You have trips with best kicker and another high card, bet pot and be fine getting it in especially for less than 100bb. If you play a lot of bomb pots than just remember that hands like this one have insanely high equity and if the SPR is medium to low then you can go with it.
