I definitely wouldn't be worried about you Ben, but some other players (I don't really know them) but I know tons of (even moderately wealthy) poker players will "push any edge they can" even if it means screwing over the spirit of the bet.

It'd obviously be very tough to police anything like this, but as opposed to like an urubu style bet, this has a much smaller player pool with more interested parties at the table, and I think those with money involved should be held accountable to not mess with the bet besides playing as well as they can

FWIW I am swayed by them betting not because I think they'll follow you around to win, but because I trust them more than basically anyone to correctly assess the EV of the bet.

also my plans have sorta changed again , I only need to relocate now and im good to go , will still say start date is sep 5-7 but if we get everything ready and im all set to go before , we could maybe get it started a week or two before.

I don't think it's like that - I think there was a list of interest and those get first action. Ike (or ben?) gets all the rest. I don't know what happens if some of the guys in interest list decide they dont want to bet anymore: the way I understand it, Ike gets everything.
