I don't think I had any stats on villain at this point in the session, first time I've seen him I think. I *THINK* I had the notion that he wasn't very good but I can't remember why, maybe it was something that happened later.
On the flop, I raise because I figure I have either the best hand or the best draw, and I can chase out things like naked NFD.. (and if someone cold 3bets.... I can hrm, fold if it's the guy with 300 at least since he's also extremely tight so I'd be in pretty poor shape I'd imagine). In hindsight, I'm not sure how great this is.. Getting it in vs AA** with clubs or a set (especially jacks) isn't amazing for me.
On the turn I'm bet/folding as a bluff (we have just under a 100 left after I bet).
My thinking was that I want to fold out like the NFD, or a bigger FD with a jack/overpair.. Wanted to look like I was trying to make him call with my boat.
Is it ok or am I underestimating how often he has like 44** and is waiting for a safe turn (or somehow has 2 pair like maybe 4567)?
If I check behind I wasn't sure what I would do on a lot of rivers, but maybe I shouldn't worry about this? IE if I miss he's not gonna bluff because my hand looks a lot like a boat (perhaps a better bluff line would be to check behind and then just bet the river when he checks)?
And if the river comes a club and he makes some small bet I might have enough room for a shove..
Terrible/fine?
