Pretty damn impressive both Mizrachis made the FT. Should be a good show, too bad ESPN cut so many of the other events to make so much room for the Main Event, but they gotta pimp the Nov 9 show. At least they don't have that Celebrity Charity event wasting our time this year

Why did the format change for the final table? It wasn't like that in the past for the 50k HORSE was it?

The first 50k HORSE had an all NL final table. The three previous versions maintained the HORSE format, but the 2009 HORSE didn't air on ESPN because of declining ratings. The only way it was appearing on ESPN again was to go back to an NL final table.

At least this time, NL is in the regular rotation of the tournament so it makes some modicum of sense, as opposed to the first one where everyone had to play a brand new game at the most important juncture of the event.

Re: WSOP on ESPN: $50,000 Players Championship, July 27 - 8-10pm ET
Looking forward to this year's WSOP broadcast
Never seen such big antes for NLH tournies... the start of the final table is 20,000/40,000 with a 10,000 ante, and according to PokerNews it ends up at 50,000/100,000 with a 30,000 ante. Is this normal for mixed game tournies?

I can't believe it's finally here. It's like Christmas in July, except with Norman Chad instead of Santa.
