It says Vladimir Schemelev on the Hendon Mob but the graphics call him Shchemelev. Is this because we don't know how to write Russian names and they don't know themselves either?

Literally translated, Russian letters count as a "sh" and a "ch" but shch just sounds like shh when being spoken.

I don't get all the hate on Mrs. Grinder. How many of us would kill to have a hot wife, who BTW is also a mother, and provides unwavering support while we are at the table.

So what if she's a little dramatic while the camera is on her.....that just makes her female.

As for the russian, I'm glad he lost after seeing the interview with him. Also, if I was at that table I definitely would have asked the floor to remind him of the English only rule. If he was speaking that commie slop enough for it to make the show I have to believe it went on the entire FT.

Robert's knockout may be the most awkward hand of televised poker ever.

I have to agree with just about everyone else.

The coverage started out boring and then moved gradually towards outright annoying.

It was almost like a bunch of LOL live pro mixed game specialists were playing NLHE.

The only good things were:
1.) Better graphics and (slightly) more sophisticated commentary
2.) Boobies

Maybe they should just kill the coverage of this event completely.

Really don't understand all the hating on Chino... from what I've seen on TV he seems to be one of the classier less obnoxious players when he's sitting at the table.

There was a hand a few years ago that occurred right before a dinner break. I think it was w/ Freddie Deeb and some other guy. They both looked at each other and it looked like they were eye flirting before both quickly looked away. Norman Chad made some funny comment about it.

I believe that Chad and Norm get tapes of the event, which they watch before coming in to do the commentary. I always assumed that this is the way that Vince and Mike do it as well for the WPT, but I think they do some of it live, like the elimination commentary, intros, etc. But then do the hand-specific commentary later. Otherwise, the players would hear them.
