Why don't TV poker programs show many bad beats? Marketing Strategy? Why don't TV poker programs show many bad beats? Marketing Strategy?

Watching over 100s of live poker tournament summaries and playing 100s of live tournaments, I can clearly say that televized poker usually skip the bad beat parts, especially the ones funded by the poker companies. Seriously, they are trying to cover up the luck side of the poker in my opinion and trying to strengthen the skill perception of poker to market the game even more...

Don't you agree? In live tournments, just in one table, I keep seeing too many bad beats... set over set, or same set with bad and good kicker, straight over better straight, etc... I hardly see such bad beats in live poker tv shows!

They are just trying to deceive people that if you are clever you can win! And of course, nobody thinks s/he is stupid!

Think you've been watching another game buddy. Every bad beat is televised as it makes for entertaining viewing. Just search 'poker' on YouTube, half the big hands will be bad beats.
