Who's the guy on espn 3 that usually always commentating with a variety of players? I find him and his accent very good and gets solid conversation going.

I love Norm. He makes WSOP fun to watch. I don't care how cheesy his lines are I just always enjoy them. I believe they are the rambling wreck?

Mike Sexton and Robert III are just outdated for todays NL holdem. When the boom started they were fine getting information to the viewers as player commentators. imo players asked to do television shouldn't be judged in the same light as professional commentators

As far as pure commentators Jesse Maye just blatantly over-hypes everything in such an obnoxious tone that is befitting of a viewership that prefers loud noise>analysis of a poker game.

while there isn't always a lot of value to what norm says; you have to give him credit for at least being able to maintain a television personality for a decade.

Norm Mcdonald, not even close. He tilts me to no end and he makes the show boring.

The annoying as possible Napt color guy. He says the stupidest things and think he is funny. It is the absolute worst. Its like he is reading cue cards from internet poker players 10 years ago or making fun of LA traffic. He really tilted me.

Robert Williamson the turd is freaking annoying as hell. How he keeps getting gigs is beyond me. They should not hire him even if he works for free.

Robert Williamson III wins the prize, but Mike Sexton runs him close. Throw a pebble in a poker room, invite anyone it hits to be a commentator and you would find someone better.

The UK's worst commentator is most definitely Nick Wealthall - prince of the fumbled quip.

Honestly this Nick Wealthall guy is so irritatingly banal, he makes High Stake' s Norm look like a poker genius.

For anyone not in the UK, just check him out if you're in the mood to be irritated by jokes which fall flat on their face every single time without exception. It's come to the stage where I may record poker on tv to watch it later, only find some time to watch it, just to find that the Wealthall goon is the lead commentator, which earns an instant delete before I've watched any of it. Life's too short...

I want Norman Chad replaced by Joe Stapelton. Norman Chad is garbadge.

I can't believe someone picking Norman Chad. Both he and Lon McEachern are by far the most enjoyable announcers to me. They are always funny, sympathetic and cooperate always perfectly. Furthermore they helped to virtually revolutionized the game. I'm absolutely certain that the World Series would have never worked so well without them. They would be terribly missed if they seperated some day.

And by the way, what you guys already call bad is at least still average to me. If you really want to see a horrific commentator, you definitely need to check out German TV announcer Michael Körner. He's hosting literally everything in Germany, whether it's WSOP, Poker After Dark or High Stakes Poker.

It's almost like a "crowd only" track. And if you understand German, you know that's he's nothing but boring, annoying and arrogant. He even corrects the best players in the world, although he is often ridiculed when he's talking about or playing Poker with a pro. Who's with me for giving him the worst commentator award?

After listening to the napt la bounty shootout I'm afraid Joe Stapleton has gotten much worse. At least at the PS big game he seemed to have a list of corny jokes that he managed to use at decent spots, but lately he's just bad. And he seems to spend too much time on poker forums, when tv commentators start making 'LOL minraisaments' and three-fiddy jokes it makes me wonder why i'm watching that garbage.
