Video Request: 2004 WSOP "HE CALLED ME WITH JACK HIGH" - Page 2 - Poker Card Room

I guess I'm among the minority of those who didn't find this moment funny. It was fairly obvious that Ellix Powers was a human piece of trash, and as a rule those don't amuse me by their piece of trash antics.

I actually agree with you whole-heartedly on this. That's why even though McManus perhaps overreacted to this little moment, I was happy to see him get his revenge by trapping Powers with a set later in the broadcast.

In fact, in some ways I feel like this episode may have been a turning point for ESPN in the way it broadcasts the Series. Between the behavior of Powers and Gallagher, it seems like this was the moment that they figured out, "Wow, our audience would rather watch table douchebaggery than the actual poker." It all went downhill after this.

Am I way off base here?

Jim McManus got incredibly leveled in that hand. I almost expected Ellix Powers to bust out the "Day in the Life of Little Jon" explanation, where he first went "YAY-UH" and then went (in a British accent) "Well, you see, I wanted to look crazy so that you would make loose calls and well, you did."

In reality, he went with Lil' Jon's rap voice and said "He called me with Jack High" 999 times, though he was, in fact, called with Q high.

I wish I could photoshop or paint but this is a good idea. Someone should take the pic of Ellix Powers and put him with Vinny Chase's boys on Entourage. HBO will never have a higher rated show.

After thinking about it I think after that floating video Ray Davis can join his entourage so add him in the photoshop.
