I actually agree with you whole-heartedly on this. That's why even though McManus perhaps overreacted to this little moment, I was happy to see him get his revenge by trapping Powers with a set later in the broadcast.
In fact, in some ways I feel like this episode may have been a turning point for ESPN in the way it broadcasts the Series. Between the behavior of Powers and Gallagher, it seems like this was the moment that they figured out, "Wow, our audience would rather watch table douchebaggery than the actual poker." It all went downhill after this.
Am I way off base here?
