Thoughts on the Q6 vs 53 hand?

Run out was 8d2c5c 9d 4d and Hellmuth bluffed all 3 streets.

Q: What was Rast thinking about and ultimately why do you think he made the call? (Video Time 6:47:39)

I would of folded a 5 so obviously I'm not thinking as deep as Rast and would like to hear anyone's thoughts on his call. David Williams commented that instead of going AI Hellmuth left himself a few BBs to work with which may of made Rast suspicious.

Can the admin move this to NLH Strategy thread since no one seems to be replying here?

Hellmuth is an idiot and still plays poker like it's 1995. He bluffs and leaves himself with a couple bb in case the bluff doesn't work out. Rast has 5+ brain cells and calls coz it's the most obvious read ever and Hellmuth does not understand the concept of balance.

In fact I'm willing to bet a lot of money that Hellmuth can't beat 25c/50c 6max on Stars using a random account.

And yet he recently beat both Jungle and Polk heads up.

What if I told you everything you believe you know is wrong?

I played with Phil once in a $1500 WSOP event. Every time I open raised with trash he called, when I opened with value he folded. He may not have a GTO mathematical approach to the game but his white magic is definitely in tune with the live flow of the game.

It's silly how everyone either thinks Phil is horrible or incredible. Isn't it more likely that he's a pretty good but flawed player? He's had enough success that he's clearly not horrible, but there are also obviously better players than him. Way too much dichotomous thinking.
