I guess it depends. A few weeks ago the kids here decided that you must like Tony G when he acts douchy against Phil by calling him a disgrace to the game. I never bought into the Tony G hype, I still think he's a businessman that was never a real poker player, a bad winner and that being a douche against an impopular player doesn't automatically make you cool.

LC is playing worse than NL2 donks

With this kind of play he has absolutely 0% chance of winning unless he spikes the good end of some miracle cooler. Its just low variance passive loosing play.

I don't post much here but after watching this I had to say something. I was actually looking forward to watching Stern play but he comes across like an awful human being.

He is condescending, rude, arrogant and obviously not very socially bright.

I'm gonna quote myself on this one and reference the K10 vs JJ hand and the top set hand. He's bad in a way that is not entertaining at all, Rick Rahim on the other hand is the entertaining kind of bad.

Worst LC yet...Fail.

Dani Stern is doing wonders to his reputation this week. Oh wait.

I can see who Daniel was talking about now. Yes, as nice as a guy as he is, this week's LC is even worse than Wiggins. A hell of a lot less lucky as well.

I'm wondering since they're going for a pretty wide cross-section of the poker playing community with different ages, gender and race whether they're going to get a 21-23 year old super internet kid that Negreanu keeps referring to.

It'd be really interesting getting a younger internet player on, it could theoretically start a televised poker career for somebody. Will Davis was sort of in this mould but obviously not young enough. I think a younger guy would appeal to an audience pretty well also.

Get it done PokerStars Steve.

  • I'm a big DN fan, but it wasn't correct to joke about the hand at the table while the hand was in progress. When Phil grimaced, DN said something like "I think it's funny to watch him in anguish. I don't know."
  • Phil is undergoing torture about folding, but there's no way he'll call. This is the guy who said he could dodge bullets.

"I'm a big fan of jacks in the hole."

Smooth plug Joe.

Also Daniel's call of the minraise on the turn with J10o against Hellmuth oop on a 3 flush board was pretty bad. He seems to have this obsession with trying to outplay people postflop, mostly its in terrible spots and usually he's just calling.

When are people going to realize, randomly trying to make fun of Phil makes you look worse than Phil 95% of the time?

Daniel, quit sucking up to the internet, it is getting to a point of being weird. If "the internet" was a person, a judge would sign a restraining order.

Oh and I have to agree PH is being really cool this week and some hands I thought he was playing a total different style than his usual cashgame style, much more optimal for the kind of table he's at. Obv he is running good atm so we'll have to wait but it is the first time ever I say I think PH is the most entertaining player at the table.
DN is being DN, the way he walks over to the table is very irritating imo, aside from that he's just trying to liven up his bosses television show, nothing wrong with that.

I DO wish they'd stop muting players in the middle of a conversation though, commentators are necessary but needs better timing.

Like one of last few episodes a discussion started and they muted it in the middle of the convo to comment on... the conversation.

Seriously, makes no sense.

LC is so horribad, he literally wouldn't be able to win even if he got dealt quads over quads.

True, but then he commandeers the conversation immediately. I'm a DN lover (opposite of hater?) and even I'm thinking relax and stfuplzkthx for a second.

Gotta love how absolutely nothing has changed, but today it's fashion to bash DN and defend PH, so people do

Also lol @ the guy who said DN was going to adapt in next tv shows. I'm sure he's crying right because he's so moved by what you all said about him.

...It says LC has been playing poker for 38 years, but he's so bad lol. It was so funny when he stood up when he had K10 and hit a K and when he had QQ and flopped top set.
He's playing so bad, everyone's got a read on him. Board comes K with two low cards, he bets, and they throw away JJ; LC has JJ pre and someone folds TT.

Also its not that fun to watch when PH is winning

Watching this episode I knew the DN hate from this week would go nuts. I'm a big DN fan but even I have to recognize the fact that it just comes off like he's trying to hard to impress someone, if you know what I'm getting at.

But everyone has weeks were they can get under someone's skin so I was a DN fan before this and I will certainly be a DN fan after this. But this might be a long week...

Re: The pokertstars.tv viewer
Yeah, the pop-up status bar for the mouse hover is annoying, but I haven't minded too much. What I like about the viewer is that the whole episode is together and not divided into chunks like NBC PAD with the same commercial in between segments that will also sometimes skip segments on me.

Workaround to not use viewer: Use firefox with add-on "DownloadHelper". Easy 1-click to download and save the file while you're making coffee or whatever. Then play it in VLC or QuickTime.

To you folks who say you're DN fans, my question is: why? What exactly is likeable about this annoying little whore? If I had to rank this table for likeability, it would look something like this:

1. Hellmuth
2. Capella
3. Friedman
4. Katchalov
5. Stern
6. Negreanu

Hellmuth the most likeable guy at a table? What a horrid group!
