Yim.
I downloaded the app from amazon yesterday.

Today I opened the fire stick (restarted it for ****z and grins in the off chance it would help) Then, once it was restarted, I navigated to the pokergo app, opened it and clicked play on day 3 and wallah!

Pretty sure, yeah. Will see what happens on June 30th
Maybe that's why PayPay wasn't available for some time?

Yup, not good.

The production value is very good, the announcing is very good.

Having technical issues like lag, and now having the whole stream down = very, very bad. It always amazes me how much these companies underestimate the technical challenges they will face, even after they put in so much effort polishing everything else.

Yea, it didn't work. I must have the older model, even tho I only got it like 5 months ago. I bought it from best buy so maybe they didn't sell me the latest one.

On the phone they said older models wouldn't work with the app.

I have a Fire HD 8 inch and the fire stick.
When I log in on my amazon account on computer I see all the apps i downloaded and I see PokerGo there.

But, when I click action and deliver to, it shows both those devices below but with red x next to it signaling not compatible.

Any other app I do that with does not have the red X.
So this doesn't even work for my FireHD.

I'm not a sub but for those having troubles, my phone and tablet allow me to mirror my screen on my TV wirelessly, I watch YouTube and twitch all the time this way. I think this feature is now on most phones.

I hooked up my laptop with HDMI to my TV last night and it worked good, except when it started going low quality or freezing every now and then.

I think overall the live streaming is great. Everyone is quick to judge a small technical error, which happens even with Twitch. Twitch goes down every so often. You have to expect a bit of room for error, as it's BRAND NEW. So put down your pitchforks, and until they actually experience something worth whining about, then raise your rakes... I mean pitchforks.

The one thing I'd comment on is the way they are arranging their videos. The multiple segmented Dead Money original is mildly infuriating. (Eight 10-minute videos) And the Youtube channel for pokercentral (separate from pokergo) is awful. They need to stop making such ridiculous videos.

Absolutely love the PokerGo app on Apple products. Quality announcing, excellent production value, and streaming the whole tournament is gold. Anyone complaining about having to pay $10 a month for a stream of this quality probably shouldn't be planing poker.

I was under the impression that nowadays you could run a live stream on twitch for poker pretty cheaply. Still profiting from Ad rev subs and donations maybe im wrong on this and its a big production cost in 2017 that i wasnt aware of.

I was under the impression that this production wasn't using a GoPro stuck to a monitor and they were playing in an actual casino with cameramen, lighting, sound equipment, floor staff, dealers, no rake, commentators, summerizers and other stuff that you don't get in your bedroom.

So the show pays the casinos employees to work? I would think the casino its held in would pay for the employee. WSOP events have rake and this is taking over most WSOP coverage.

I really dont think a select group of poker players paying 10 bucks gives you as much profit potential as a entire video game base that is on twitch TV donating and subbing. Plus growth potential from all the other sources being on twitch gives you. Maybe short term this is more profitable.

We're kind of having a false argument here. It really doesn't matter whether they can stream a free show profitably or not. What really matters is whether or not they can make more money by charging $10/mo. They seem to think they can, and I certainly concur.

It doesn't seem too outrageous to think that WSOP was probably losing money on its free streams in the past.
