It's on now. The reason it was delayed was because of baseball homerun derby.

The start times have been off for no apparent reason. Supposed to be on at 3.00am yet doesn't come on till 3.45am with the missing time filled with filler highlights of all sorts of stuff. Don't understand. It did also finish a lot later than advertised this morning so we got what seemed like the full show.

Seems the BT Sport/ESPN coverage here in the UK always cuts away before the final hour or two which is reserved for PokerGO only? Is that correct? Does anyone know what's going to happen for the final table live in that regard, are we just going to be left hanging without a PokerGO sub? Hope not, 2012 was particularly epic when it overran by like 7 hours yet they stayed with it and showed it all + Greg Merson won .

P.S. BT Sport is a ton cheaper if you get your broadband through BT, think I pay like £10 a month for it. They have gone aids recently though losing tons of sports, hiking prices and wanting everything on PPV.

Oh right, I gave it about 40 minutes and thought they're not going to show it now so i switched off.
I've got sky unfortunately so BT charge a fortune. You have to get a 1 month minimum contract plus £35 connection and then give a months notice to cancel so they're probably going to stack me for nearly £100 all told. You would think ESPN could allow countries outside the US to pay extra through pokergo to watch their coverage. I would've happily paid $40 or something.

Watching the coverage last night Nick Schulman was talking about how to improve at poker and he said "if you want to get better at poker, then don't watch the main event". Turns out this morning he has been removed from the broadcast for this

Maybe it wasn't the best thing to say on live main event coverage but still it's true, watching the ME on tv is all about the drama and entertainment - it's not a training video or GTO solver ffs.

Nick really improves the coverage with his knowledge and analysis. Really crappy decision. Don't know who made it - ESPN or PokerGO?

Did they remove Nick from just the ESPN coverage or the PokerGo booth too?

The twitter poker community was screaming bloody murder last night as they believed he was removed for the "don't watch the WSOP ME coverage to learn poker" comment.

Nick is great with Ali durning the PokerGo coverage, but I don't think that is translating well to the break desk segments on ESPN. Him and Kara don't seem to have any chemistry/rapport together and those segments are coming off arkwardly. I just fast forward through them now when watching the ESPN coverage on DVR.

Maybe he'd be better in the booth with Lon/Norm, but Jaime is really crushing that spot right now. I'm currently rooting for an Antonio FT so we don't have to list to him in the booth and maybe ESPN can keep Jaime in there for good.

Cantu comes across as a broke degenerate that has to constantly borrow money, anyone know if this guys still makes a living at poker?

Is Cantu a fish? I came here to ask the same question. He seems to have a fine understanding of the game but seems to be incapable of playing winning poker. What's his deal?

It's hard to say what Cantu's story is ... He was hot stuff for a bit (WSOP ME FT) basically mimicking DNegs style and perhaps even taking it wilder to an extent. This was before online took off and the rest of the poker world 'caught up' with ranges and counteracting this type of Player.

I do know he is 'in' with PHell and who knows what staking could be going on. He is supposed to be a 'Poker Pro living in Vegas' but since he really isn't a heavy tournament Player he doesn't get a lot of press. He is fairly active on Twitter.

Any Player who can get to a FT of the $50K PPC has solid poker skills. Yes, he had to run (insanely) good to win, but he still needed to get there in the first place.

I don't know if he's a reg at Aria or where ever the 'big' games are being held now (Wynn?). But I can imagine that if I had just won a pretty big poker score that I would probably splash around in a 'small' cash game as well. GL

I remember Cantu from like 10 years ago. He looks different from what I remember. Not just in a looks older type way.

LOL at Keating ribbing Hellmuth about his "stakers" pulling out after watching last night's performance. If you google Alan Keating for images, there are a LOT with him and Hellmuth together giving thumbs up etc. It almost looks like they are friends, and I'd gander it's fairly likely that Hellmuth is staking Keating.

I really hope that Dwan abuses this clown tonight.

Yeah the guy who bought in for $30K is staking the guy who bought in for $1.3M.
