It seems things may have changed for Day 2. You may want to start a 7-day Free trial of ESPN+ in order to watch the FT on a device .. otherwise you will have to rely on ESPN 'cable' coverage and/or someone streaming via Twitch (until they get shutdown, maybe). GL

Youtube tv has the espn espn2. I believe they have a free trial. But you will need to cancel after the free trial or get dinged 40 bucks.

USA only.

You probably want to cancel before the end of the free trial, not "after the free trial" to avoid being billed $40.

Beyond ridiculous.

"Due to broadcast restrictions, this video is not available in your region. Please check your local listings for viewing information."

So poker go has website issues, video player issues, overlay problems, and isn't even able to broadcast the most viewed event to the most people possible?

I won't be subscribing again.

ESPN paid Poker Central (which owns PokerGo) for the rights to broadcast the FT. ESPN doesn't want a bunch of folks watching and not 'seeing' their commercials. Not sure why those same commercials couldn't have been seen on PokerGo, but that's for the experts.

Do you cancel your Red Zone because they don't carry the Super Bowl? GL

Is there a country list where ESPN is available?
I am from Austria (blackout area) and I never saw it on my channel list. Only ESPN sports (with SKY)

I'm in the UK, trying to watch the One Drop replay and it says unavailable in my region. It was working fine yesterday when it was live (I know I can use a VPN, just pointing this out as it seems like an error).

Nevermind it's in two parts and looks like part 2 was on ESPN which is the one I couldn't access.

Here's some advice to PokerGo - create a schedule and stick to it if you want to be a professional broadcasting company. If you post a schedule that says the broadcast is starting at 2:30, you start the stream at 2:30. If the cards aren't in the air yet you cut to the break desk and let Ali and Nick or someone else discuss the previous days play, or the upcoming tournament. You always keep some b-roll prepared to run in case of delays or other scheduling snafus. What you don't do is produce a schedule, constantly deviate from that schedule and then end up with half of the people blacked-out due to regional restrictions. On the very rare occasion when a broadcast is unavoidably delayed, you don't go radio silent and force people to search through forum posts or expand twitter comments in order to figure out what's happening - you immediately and clearly announce what's going on to your subscribers.

I have had Pokergo for over a yr, and really enjoyed this years coverage.

Ali and Nick especially, are fantastic.

Being in the Uk, I now cant watch the final table .. and even cant call it up on demand. Why cant they re-cut the feed (with adverts if need be).

I would have ranted on twitter, but purposely avoided social media, to try avoid finding out who won, before watching.

I didnt manage to avoid the spoiler, and its v disappointing. Its only $10 a mth, or whatever but feel let down. I am gonna cancel.

When you cancel your free trial all access goes away. This is not a good practice. As a business you want as much engagement in your service as possible. Having a strategy that encourages people to forget about turning off the billing so they can keep access to their free trial is a poor one. Why not try to provide value so people want to stay after free trial is complete. Little things like this annoy me and will reduce the chance I come back. In terms of industry standard, I don't know of a steaming service (beside pokergo) that ends access before free trial is complete, (whether billing is turned off or not).

It's ten bucks a month, I get a notification on my phone when there is an event. I can turn it on, get a quality, no commercial broadcast.

Will the WSOP final table ever be unlocked in the US?

When you 'cancel' something you are no longer 'active', so access can be shut down. It would be interesting to see if you lose access if you notify them that you aren't renewing a paid subscription before the 'end/active until' date.

Since you are only eligible for one 'free trial' (per email address/credit card) it would be nice to let it run it's course for the full period. But if you've already decided not to continue the subscription they are assuming you are done evaluating. Certainly a cat and mouse game, but I've never heard of them denying a refund post billing. My experiences with their live customer service have been excellent so far.

There are other examples of this I can think of .. porn, premium cable channels .. that use a trial access period. But I don't have any experience with either to comment on. GL

My gut feeling is that once ESPN is done doing whatever they want to do with 'episodes' that access to the FT will be granted, but that might be quite some time. GL

My argument is that is it a poor business practice. Hulu, Netflix. Hbonow, do not operate this way. In addition I would argue pokergo would pick up more business in the long run by encouraging the most engagement in their site/app as possible, this means allowing a user to access a full 30 day free trial whether the billing is turned on or not. IMHO.

With all that said, I'm glad we have an option to watch poker, so it beats having no options.

From what I saw last night in spurts it was a pretty good session and line up. I didn't realize there was 'another' David Peters ... certainly this one created much more action than what I would've expected from the 'real' DP.

Interesting hand late with Randall ... was it scared money? ... was it late session lock down? Hope they have it up on the site today so I can watch while I work .. GL

Which NLHE cash game event on Poker Go do you think was the most interesting/entertaining?

I know it’s super early but since this has been bumped... I’d love to see a dealer’s choice event televised next wsop. Also coverage of the PPC from
day 1 would be nice.

Been catching up on the mixed events shown this year and was pretty impressed with the coverage, still super annoying that it doesn’t save your place though (and hopefully the PS4 app comes soon, it’s been coming for a while!)

I just finished part 1 of Poker After Dark|Under The Gun|Day 1 and it was the best poker show Ive seen in years

It had JRB, Jennifer Tilly, Helmuth, Eli Elezra and some good amateurs that were throwing a lot of money around

Good action and fun hands plus some good banter (which I rarely see these days)

just as good, great table talk and stories

Geezuz, is no one else watching this? This is by far the best cash game I've watched since The Gabe Kaplin High Stakes Poker days
