FYI-Lon McEachern and Norman Chad are currently doing the broadcast on day 2 of the One Drop

The quality of the broadcast is far superior to the streams of the past Imo but Id prefer Tuchman (& guest) to Lon/Chad because I liked hearing Tuch and good poker players comment on the action.

why the hell are Lon and Norm commentating live poker? This is bad. We want strategy talk. Let them do voice-overs on pre-recorded content. But not live. They are not the type to give analysis. its just stupid

World Series of Poker live streaming gets underway on Saturday June 3rd at 2:30 p.m. PST, as PokerGO brings you three straight days of $111,111 High Roller for One Drop coverage with hole cards up.

Starting with the High Roller for One Drop, WSOP bracelet events on PokerGO will be led by Lon McEachern, Norman Chad, David Tuchman, and Tatjana Pasalic, among others. Throughout the summer a strong group of rotating talent provides expert strategy analysis and color commentary. This group includes Jeff Gross, Jonathan Little, Doug Polk and David Williams.

PokerGO’s coverage of the WSOP Main Event will be led by Ali Nejad and Nick Schulman, while the trusted voices of Lon McEachern and Norman Chad can be heard on ESPN. Lon and Norm are flanked by Kara Scott, Poker Central ambassadors Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth and sideline reporter Joe Stapleton during the ESPN broadcasts.

“We’re looking forward to having some of the industry’s best broadcasting talent cover the most thrilling poker action of the year,” said JR McCabe, chief digital officer, Poker Central. “Our team – spanning both ESPN and PokerGO – will bring the WSOP viewing experience to life for millions of people tuning in across the world.”

“This year’s WSOP will deliver the most live broadcast coverage ever with ESPN and Poker Central’s commitment to premier poker,” said Ty Stewart, executive director, WSOP. “We can’t wait to provide the new storylines, surprises, and amazing moments of the WSOP with the help from our talented broadcast teams.”

Same-Day Coverage of WSOP Main Event Through 2020

Under the terms of Poker Central’s new deal, ESPN will telecast 40 hours of live WSOP Main Event coverage each July, plus original packaged shows totalling 130 hours annually. WSOP coverage not aired by ESPN will be streamed exclusively through PokerGO. This marks the first-time ESPN will air same-day coverage of the WSOP from day one of the Main Event to the conclusion of the final table, a model that will continue through 2020.

After the conclusion of the High Roller for One Drop, the PokerGO streaming schedule continues with the highly-anticipated $10,000 Heads Up event that runs from Wednesday, June 7 – June 9, with all three days of the event streamed. The following day, the final table of Event #16: $1,500 Six Max No Limit Hold’em broadcasts until a winner on Saturday, June 10.

Up next is the final table of Event #20, $1,500 Millionaire Maker event on Wednesday, June 14. A staple among the smaller buy-in no-limit hold’em events where at least one millionaire is crowned at the final table.

Starting with Event #27: $3,000 Six Max No Limit Hold’em on Friday, June16, PokerGO will have three straight days of final table coverage. The pro-heavy $10,000 HORSE Championship final table plays to a winner on Saturday, June17 followed by the the final table of the $1,000 Seniors Championship on Father’s Day.

Short-handed action dominates the next two broadcasts with the final table of Event #36: $5,000 Six Max No Limit Hold’em on Wednesday, June 21 and the $10,000 Six Max Championship event reaches on Friday, June 23.

The fast-paced $5,000 Turbo No Limit Hold’em plays down to a winner on Saturday, June 24. The event has 30-minute levels and last year Kevin MacPhee won nearly $500,000 when 454 entrants signed up for this new event.

The final week of June features three final tables: Event #49: $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha Six Max will be a fan’s dream of poker’s second most popular game, Event 52: $1,500 No Limit Hold’em should have a sizable seven-figure prize pool from players showing up for the Main Event and looking for warm up.

The $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship final table streams on Friday, June 30. Followed by Sunday, June 2 with the four-day Event #56: $5,000 No Limit Hold’em that’s normally one of the larger prize pools of the summer.

Day 1A of the Main Event kicks off Saturday, July 8 and between PokerGO and ESPN live coverage of all play will be broadcast. The event reaches the final nine players on Monday, July 17 and takes a two-day hiatus. During the break there will be a Final Table Preview show on Wednesday, July 19.

The final table begins on the 20th with the table playing down from nine to six players. Then the 21st is scheduled to play from six players to the final three and Saturday, July 22nd the new WSOP Main Event Champion will be crowned.

I'm rooting for them but I cant help but wonder how they plan to make money.

Seems like most of the people around here are unhappy with PokerGO and I would think 2+2ers would be more likely to subscribe than the average joe

I cant see much in the way of sponsorship either

Seems really expensive to produce and cover all the events with so many announcers, etc. I wonder what the announcers get paid, especially Lon and Norman

2+2ers think $10 is a lot to pay for dozens of hours of entertainment. Average Joes have no problem paying $60 for a 3 hour UFC PPV.

I have been liking the stream today. We would be waiting like 4 months for this if this was last year.

Sure better commentating would be nice, but Nick Shulman is crushing this tourney right now.

NetFlix costs less per month. Just sayin'

It's pretty disappointing that they would go the paywall subscription route, and require Flash for in-browser delivery.

I want them to succeed, but I'm not optimistic giving the business model and technical choices they are making.

I signed up and been watching all day using Fire TV. Do not see why people are complaining so much. Stream has been great, only problem was when I turned it off at the dinner break and then it took a bit to reload. I have always hated Norm on ESPN but he's been fine here, seems to be just talking instead of schtick. I like that these two are doing it with pros stopping by. I think 8 hours of strategy talk would be too much. Have Tuch break down big hands at break is fine.
Agree that the players could be mic'd up and heard more. Also, need the chip counts for the players.
It's $10 and I am more than happy with it.

Yeah, the production is fine. People that are complaining aren't complaining about that. They're complaining about lack of events, L+C, stack sizes not being shown on the WSOP stream as they were on the SHRB stream, and the final table of the $300k being awful.

It's not surprising that people on 2p2 want a more strategy based commentary especially after getting to listen to Nick for the SHRB.

I don't necessarily need strategy talk for entertainment but Norm tries way too hard and I'm embarrassed for him on most of his "jokes".

came in here to say although I havent played online/real poker for over 4 years ive always followed the action online (HSDB website) and recently started playing again on pokerstars. I went ahead and bought the $99+10% discount code for the coverage. Been enjoying the action and they will also be having high stakes cash games in a PokerAfterDark format, read it somewhere in a news article or their site. I couldnt believe how much negativity the fee added to PokerGo, but thats 2p2 mentality on just about anything and everything
