Poker go keeps losing connections on me. I'm watching on a laptop in chrome. I can watch for about an hour. Then it randomly says buffering and eventually connection failed. I try to reload the page and I can't connect at all. Same thing last 2 times I tried watching. Does anyone else have these kinds of problems?

edit: this trick worked:

Berkey vs Adelstein has to be the among the most tilting hands I´ve ever seen in televised cash games.

Showing the Bellagio event final table now. Rare case of the players perhaps being too deep. 3 players with 125 BBs or more. Chip leader has 210 bbs

I see Poker-Go is offering an annual deal for $79 ( plus a hoodie ! ). Is it worth it ? I suppose I would tune in often enough, but wondering if disconnects are an issue .

Worth the $7 month ?

Thx in advance.

I enjoy the PokerGo site. I assume the offer is for new members only. I would also assume that their coverage of the WSOP will only improve next year after some minor hiccups and misunderstandings during last year's ramp up.

I paid $99 and think I'm doing OK .. What I really like is that when I'm at a home game we can pull it up on this guy's TV (through Roku or other?) and watch these events on the big screen.

They are super quick with 'posting' events from the day before without delay.

The only thing I wish they had was a chat box within the Ap. I think they do some chat via Twitter but it's so much better the Twitch.tv way .. GL

Do you think the players actually play with their own money on some of these shows. I'm starting to think some line ups are either pretty much all backed or in a more recent case play money chips.

This is the 'standard' TV/Stream question. Last night there was a comment towards the end that 'someone' was trying to get a hold of one of the players about 'buying a piece' of her cash game stack.

There is plenty out there from Matt Berkey (on PokerGo series too) about how he built his bankroll while being backed and has taken certain shots at 100% and the different stresses involved with each scenario.

DNegs has also been more open about the fact that he usually has 100% of himself and that being 'not the norm'. JMercier and PAntonius are well known for backing players in tournaments.

If you watched MWisner last night, my read on her was that it definitely was her money on the table ... or she just has too much tournament mode in her brain and doesn't make the cash adjustment. She had a no-brainer cash spot shove with 2 overs, the 2nd nut flush draw and BD straight on the Flop that she tank folded. In a 5/10 game that she may typically play in this wouldn't have taken more than 15 seconds to shove in there looking to run it twice.

People may have wondered about High Stakes Poker in yesteryear but I think in today's world trying to run a fake game for entertainment purposes would be hard to do. Why wouldn't they all buy-in for the same amount if it wasn't real?

In the past I've always assumed that players may have gotten some of their stack from the production company as an appearance fee .. and then it was up to them to keep a hold of it during the show. I really doubt that type of stuff in in the budget these days.

So real 'personal' money? Yes ... Only Phil Hellmuth is that good of an actor when it comes to the emotion of the beats. GL

PS .. The only conspiracy theory that I might buy into (my own of course) is that the chips may be worth 10x of the real money they are risking. This was more true about HSP in my head .. where a $200K stack is really only $20K at cash out.

PSS ... Did you see Kathy L last night at the end? She grabbed a bunch of chips off the table and was headed off to Blackjack with them ... I think they would've cut her off if they weren't real.

any of u guys watching the us poker open? surprised no one is posting about it.

ive only watched the first couple minutes of the first episode. i came on here wanting to see the reviews of the new color guy.

i miss schulman, loved the way he would break down hands, and overall smooth demeanor.

btw, david williams was not good during the last series, the purple jacket one, poker masters. not that he's a bad guy or gave a poor effort, but he just doesn't play the game on that level and was therefore incapable of providing good commentary.

it baffles me why they hire color commentators (in poker, and other stuff - see american ninja warrior) who have never played the game on the level they're commentating at. its one thing if the host/play by play guy is a fish (lon, norm, ali nejad) but they absolutely have to have someone in there who understands what's going on and can communicate it with the audience.

Classy exit interview by DNegs there. Belittling the play of everyone that he just played against.

Being a 'color' commentator is tough ...
1) It's boring!! And a lot of players just aren't that interesting to listen to.
2) Why would they give away their thoughts, for 24-hour review online, for free? JLittle wants to sell books, JAusmus doesn't play that high of stake very often .. NSchulman is playing most of the events.
3) It probably doesn't pay much .. but not losing is wining, eh?
4) Try following along, as a non-professional streamer, with possibly multiple camera feeds and slow/incorrect graphics might make all of us look silly until we get the hang of it, and then the event is over ..

It will be very interesting today with the mixed games to see how all this flows along. GL

Lumping Ali in with Norm and Lon is ridiculous. Ali consistently beats the 80/160 mix at Bellagio which is not a soft game.
