Hey guys, appreciate all the feedback here.
I do the (limited) commentary on PokerNightLive.
The technical errors on episode 1 were absolutely heartbreaking and did not come from our end but the provider that receives our signal to CBSSN. That was rough. That's live TV, I suppose.
The good thing about this project is that we are adjusting week to week. And each week is going to have an unpredictable table dynamic. The purpose of the show is to capture that home-game environment and hear cool stories (i.e. Jon Landau talking about the entire crew of Titanic being drugged with PCP while shooting....or Bekah M ripping on the Bachelor, Arie, etc, etc).
We appreciate all the feedback and definitely feel you. This is our first go at a live show, and having come from past works of innovative concepts (myself, Stapes & our EP did The Pokerstars Big Game) we are trying to do anything but replicate something that already exists, hence this low-stakes table where our Host is also a player.
Tonight, we are live for our 7th episode. And we're hoping to keep improving upon the last.
As a poker fan, first, I am open to all feedback, all trolling, all anything - I judge the episodes by how much I laugh. So if you're seeking a German silent-film of a table, this won't be your jam but we definitely hope you crack up. I do all the time. We're awkward as **** and each week is a surprise
Deuces,
Jesse
