Am I the only one who's on lifetilt everytime I hear Norman Chad???



He really spoiled this year WSOP for me.

I think there must be some allowance for a middle ground between Oxytocin flooded adoration and vitriol!!! I like him better on interviews on cardplayertv for example than on the WSOP. However, I think he did do a great job on the HORSE debacle this year, and I sent him a note and told him so. He gave a kind and considered response that, (paraphrasing) maybe they should point the cameras at, and discuss more the players that don't behave outrageously.
I personally think that the real problem in poker coverage is that we don't showcase what the game has to offer people. The game is enough to hold attention, let professional wrestling have that audience!! Norm is good, and good for poker!

EPT and APPT had great coverages, why can't we have a decent one for the biggest poker event of the year?

I truly believe this is all about ratings. Look at the metric ****ton of mouthbreathing ******s that follow reality tv religiously due to the stupid **** that people are willing to do on TV.

I really wish we could just get back to basics when it comes to poker, and stop bastardizing it in hopes of better ratings.

Still Norman Chad is good for multiple laughs on every show. And I just can't say that about any other commentator. You can't tell me you've never laughed at a Norman Chad joke before.

He's always just throwing in little subtle gems like....

If I youtubed it I could come up with a 100 Norman Chad lines, but those are just 2 off the top of my head. That alone should be a sign of his greatness. I can't remember one line from any other poker broadcast I've ever watched but I remember 2 lines like that by Norman Chad.

this, and its not even close. Sure his wife-jokes get boring and redundant but from time to time he throws in a real gem and thats why we like NC!

I don't think Norman Chad is bad at all. I find his jokes mildly amusing and his commentary as a whole way better than most other poker commentators.

Honestly I don't get all the hate for the guy. His ex-wife jokes aren't really that bad!

I'm a Chad fan. He's not every episode at his best, however, the few really good jokes make up for that. The problem is not Norman Chad, it's the selection of the feature table. Who wants to see Johnny Chan anymore? Go with the time, show some Gus, Antonius or maybe promote some of the top players of this years series, they should deserve some credit.
