In general I agree with you. Like when someone who absolutely knows the $1/3 buy-in is $300 cap, and sits down with like 2K in chips from the pit

But, it's an ante game. There are always multiple pots of $15K-20K+
I'm not saying you ONE HUNDRED K, but if you want to comfortably cover the table sitting with 30K doesn't seem extreme.

It plays huge

This is a big fat steaming pile of excrement and you know it Wayne. Stop lying to people ITT sand making them think they can just call in and get on LATB. That is 100% fake news.

No, you can't just call in and get on LATB. That is not what I said. That has never been the case. That's you thinking that what anyone wants they get it immediately once they demand it.

People who want to get on the show have been told there is a huge waitlist and many people who want to get on the show get on their eventually. Certain people like loyal regulars who always show up on time get priority because, they are responsible and people want to see them. There is a massive risk that people say they will show and do not show. Having done the schedule this happens very frequently. If you skip out and are unreliable, then you will have been given a chance and will not be accommodated for. If toxic behavior is exhibited and it is known, then you will not be accommodated for the show. These people were all given a chance to be candidates.

You do not get to cherry pick what show you want if you are new. There have been plenty of seats open in many shows that have not been filled. You want them? You take them. Don't say they don't exist. If you don't like the line up or you can't afford the buy in, that's on you, not the show.

Don't accuse people of lying when they didn't.

Don't call something fake news when it isn't.

Many people who have wanted to be on the show have waited and when the opportunity comes up, they get a seat.

In fact in scheduling conflicts or if someone is in town who is a subscriber wanted on the show, Ryan asked me if I could give up my seat, which I have every time when I didn't have to.

"Can" be on the show does not mean you are entitled to be on the next show or whatever show you desire.

Re: Live at the Bike

The only experience I have with LATB was putting myself on the list for the 2/3 game (doesn’t run often on the show), getting first spot on the list after an announcement was made that a seat was open, then looking up only a minute later to see 4 names ahead of mine. I’m not sure how the selection process works but apparently the list meant nothing.

Live at the Bike

Wayne,

What I was told over email was “unless you are known in the poker community or are known on social media, not much chance”

So cut the “can’t get on because you’re not rolled” garbage. I know better because I have the emails that told me differently in very clear language.

But then again until the Joke Bet fiasco everyone thought Armenian Mike has just a harmless fish.

Playing on LATB used to be on the old bucket list. Not anymore.

So if you want to be on the show, why not get known in the poker community or get known on social media? Why not be a subscriber?

My comment about being rolled is that there have been many empty seats on the Friday big games on Live at the Bike. Very few people are rolled for that game. It's not expected that people show up, but that _IS_ available. People _CAN_ play. There have been seats on other shows as well.

Everything you've mentioned has to do with availability and seniority... not that YOU are not allowed to play on Live at the Bike or I claim that people CAN play on Live at the Bike and then they are not allowed to any more. Legally, if there are seats open on Live at the Bike then it goes to the board. This has happened many times as you see people who no longer want to play leave and someone new comes in. If I claim you CAN play on Live at the Bike, it is not my responsibility to bankroll you or promote you as being known in the poker world to play on the show, it is to let the viewers know that they can be on the show. Recently in the $2/$3 Hollywood Writer's game on 10/10/2018 Steve Stevenson was not scheduled to be on, the board was announced, and he got on. He mentioned on stream he watches the show a lot, its a fan and always wanted to be on the show. Of course, that doesn't happen all the time, but it is a matter of if you want to be on it, know when there are likely to be spots and make an effort to be on... make a youtube video on how you love Live at the Bike and would love to be on it. That makes us see that you do like it and we always cater to positive fans whether it's just shouting them out on the chat.

What you're talking about is you want the show's open slots to cater to you to pick and choose the day and line up for your convenience. When I say you can play on the show, it means that sign up, keep trying, be reliable, and it's possible to be on.

And here's going to be the funny part of this post... if I am scheduled for an episode, and you want to be on the show instead, tell me it is on your bucket list to play on the show, tell me you are the poster here, and you can have my seat. I've done it before, and I will do it again. I do it for the fans of the show who want to have a chance to play. Despite you flaming the crap out of me with completely illegitimate claims and me telling you like it is.

BTW, Ryan Feldman makes the schedules at least a month in advance, some people are locked in much more prior to that. If you received that e-mail and that was vloggers week plus doug polk week, pouya week plus a card player tournament is airing etc etc, then it should be obvious why he would require you to be known in the poker community or are known on social media. You could have responded to the e-mail that you have little desire to be known in the poker world nor have social media presence, you are a paying subscriber to Live at the Bike, playing on Live at the Bike on your bucket list, you want to play $x/$x stakes and will wait for first availability, you appreciate his time... that would probably have had more success.

Since the internet is anonymous, you can literally just do the suggestions above, get better results and not ever have to acknowledge this is you.

Shout out to internet anonymity!

Re: Live at the Bike

Wayne,

I was actually asking 3 months in advance because I was going to be there on a short trip etc and the week I was going to be there there were 2/3 and 5/5 games on - no bloggers week or anything like that. I thought it’d be cool to be on a stream.

But that’s all water under the bridge now.

(I would never take someone else’s seat Wayne, so if some says they’re me, they’re bluffing.)
