At least in my case, I make an extra effort to sit in the pot limit omaha and limit holdem games because no limit contributions are a dime a dozen and I've vocally been unhappy with the commentary and play on those games to display to the public. When it comes to no limit holdem, I should be playing regularly on the show, so show case how I play and my view to show where my commentary is coming from. I tend to play in games with famous poker players like youtube vloggers, name players and names on the show rather than hand picked majority action player line ups.

From a product quality stand point for Live at the Bike as a poker show, it is about real people who play in Los Angeles of all ranges, real interactions, qualified regular commentators and special guest commentators, and a continued narrative of the players on the show.

Not questioning your integrity in the least Wayne. I get the show's purpose in one sense is to showcase "real people who play in los angeles", but I think the show has evolved a bit more in recent years into showcasing "high level talent" as well. While your motivations may be different, and I respect that, most "talent" don't want to play in a game where they're likely to find themselves in a bunch of break-even spots for huge sums vs other strong players. I think that's pretty self-evident. I'm also saying that despite being frustrated w/ the line-ups LATB occasionally puts out for its NLH games, I appreciate/respect that it is a catch-22 and there is no pleasing everyone. If no fish played, it would not only be unrepresentative of what "real poker" looks like, it would also be rather hard to keep the game/players going indefinitely IMO.

Yes, it has evolved from LA pros to include the most competitive players who are not willing to play on camera, the most competitive players who are ok with playing on camera if the game is good and those competitive players who are always willing to play for camera and those players who are always willing to play for camera to show that they are part of the poker community.

In a way, it's not so much a catch 22 as in 2018, this is how the line-ups have evolved to on the show. At minimum, the people are real even if the range of the people viewed are more extreme than what is seen off camera.

Also, people evolve. People regularly on the show can't really lie about their hands and play, but when you are outside, everyone lies about their hands and the poker situations they are in.

Even during the instagram games, some people we retelling their hands inaccurately and those guys are likely the better cases. But after you play on an unedited streaming show like Live at the Bike, there's no turning back about what has really happened in the past and can't deny what happened unless the graphics are wrong, camera didn't see something, or a commentator is out of line.

Open-folding 88 and folding JJ to a pre-flop single raise should result in not being invited back.

He just so awkward.
His insistence on getting Garrett to like him and talk to him is super weird. The fake over-the-top celebrations when he wins a small pot is odd.

The handful of times I have seen him on the Friday night show, he has left a winner. So there is that.

Man, I still look forward each week to the big game on Fridays. That's by far my favorite.

I've been thinking that Kevin is just an awkward but harmless goofball with the awareness that he's somewhere on the spectrum. And then I saw how abrasive and dismissive he was with a cocktail waitress. I now hope he's felted every hand he plays. Few interactions give you a better snapshot of a person's character.

Nick just said on stream to Kevin "if you come in through those doors blasting at some point in the future jsut remember I was the nice guy". And then Kevin admonishes him and makes it more awkward instead of just taking whats obviously a joke. He is not helping himself at all. Loosen up Kevin, Nick's joke was funny and not over the line, if you can't think of something funny to say back then just shut up and smile imo.

I was only able to catch a few parts of the stream tonight, but it was really entertaining. Zeo's flopped bottom set getting runned runnered for the loss, Ken and Dave giving crazy action, Kong winning massive pot with a set then on the very next hand winning a 3 way allin with AK. The english only complaints at Harry/Martik and Chris complaining about Ken influencing Israeli Ron controversy. I wonder if what I missed was just as good
