Hats off to Garrett. Like the guy more every time I see how he conducts himself at the table.

Thanks! Unfortunately, Weez had an emergency job and couldn't attend. Always a pleasure, honor and privilege to have a voice in the booth.

I might, but I also publicly state the chat has gotten infinitely better ever since I started commentating and playing on Live at the Bike over 2 years ago. I'd rather take the comments too seriously and have the chat behave better so when a guest or new comer sees the chat and doesn't come back as a viewer or a player(especially a female who is getting harassed)... and much worse if word spreads that the Live at the Bike community is toxic.

I really appreciate most of the vocal chat now is like 40% decently positive, 50% neutral to slightly positive, and 10% negative, and now sexism and racism are ALMOST non-existent at least when I'm in the booth. Usually the 90% of the viewers who don't vocally chat are great, they come up to me at the Bike and show their appreciation of my efforts even if they disagree with my stances. I encourage people to chat with me, challenge any views of poker I might have, ask questions, and even insult me if it's witty! I've only banned 3 people in my entire duration I've been commentating because there was just no salvation for their toxicity. Usually even people out of line can be reasoned with and just be better for the community. It's about the show and the community.

Overall, I'll gladly be known to have a stick up my ass if the chat goes as well as it does right now. I don't mind letting go of the reigns when the chat consistently acts better. Any suggestions for improvements, I'll gladly listen.

The order is the floor man makes a ruling, if both parties want to agree on something else that is a more lenient ruling that is up to them.

In this case, the floor man made a ruling and likely because of Ryan Feldman's involvement with Live at the Bike and the Bicycle Hotel and Casino. He opened it up that it was up to Ryan to decide what to do. There's nothing wrong with opening that up, but if there's no objections or negations from Ryan, the ruling needs to be enforced immediately. If Ryan Feldman wants to do something more lenient, that is up to him and then it is done. That should have been the 30 second exchange instead of 10 minutes.

I don't know who AM is, who he knows, or how he would resolve a dispute in an uncontrolled environment. It is up to the floor to decide, there are others in the hand that may have alternative motives. Pretty clearly stated that Ryan being shorted would benefit other players.

I hope Armenian Mike has had time to think about it and apologized to Ryan after the event it makes everyone look bad. That was a disgusting way to behave.

Ryan Feldman, Ramsey Dew and Wayne Chiang discuss whether poker hosts or commentators should be allowed to play on their respective poker shows on Around the Felt June 11, 2018.

Armenian Mike acting like an idiotic scumbag, wasting everyone's time, & creating a huge amount of awkwardness for everyone? Shocking.

I guess I'd put up w/ it too if the moron shipped 10K into 2K on the regular.

He's insistant that the commentators play so they can know what it's like to face these guys? In other words, he will ignore the problems having commentators play in the game may pose FOR THE GAME in order to have GREAT COMMENTARY for the viewers.

Sounds like backwards priorities.

Especially seeing as these guys get to sit themselves in the game whenever they feel like it in order to give good commentary.

If I'm understanding you correctly, I agree: sitting jackasses like Mike/Harry in the game is clearly self-serving. But it also attracts good players to the game that we actually enjoy watching play. Otherwise their incentive to play is low. I suspect it's a devil's compromise that is built into the very nature of running/building successful poker games.

With all that said, while their money is welcome @ any untelevised table afaic (the economy needs whales, literally), I still think they're a net bad thing for a televised game.

Exactly what are the problems having commentators play in the game?

My contention being insistent to have the commentators play in the game is because when commentators do not play in the game, they are not understanding of the difficulty of what it's like playing on camera when the player facing the action is the only person who doesn't know what's going on. All the viewers and commentators do. That is a lot of pressure and highly unfair to the player. Those commentators tend to talk down on the players, boost up themselves, do not come back and leave players who are angry at essentially one-way trash talking.

The commentators should play on the show to show case their understanding of the situation and showcase their view of poker. At least in my situation, everyone has public access to every major hand I've played on Live at the Bike on youtube no limit holdem, pot limit omaha, limit holdem as well as some vlogs of other games, so there's no sense of unfair information. My hands are far more public than anyone else's. You can study me all the way and do what you want to me.

So no, I do not think it is backwards. I think it is the correct process that I first show case that I play on the show, play on the show regularly, publicize my hands, publicize my views on poker, become a guest commentator and after I sufficiently prove myself to become a regular commentator. This serves the show best and allows anyone to play on the show to have fair access to me as a player, commentator and a member of the community. If any player in the game does not feel comfortable playing with me, I will gladly give up my seat and have told Ryan Feldman, that those are the cases we should gladly give up our seats.
