A more reliable way to score an invite is have a popular youtube or instagram channel that contributes to the poker community or do well in highly tournaments and consistently play on all the poker shows!

Sorry to disappoint, but Stones also only has 9 seats at their poker table and has to pick and choose who gets to play too.

You can call them snobs but LATB is a business and would be wise to select people based on who will drive viewership. I don't watch LATB much but when I do it's because there is someone I'm interested in watching on the stream. LATB got great viewership when Neeme and Trooper were on the show. Also, I recall Doug Polk Week doing quite well too. Those brought me to the game as did Sticky Rice and Gman. Rando player that nobody knows isn't going to generate good viewership.

On Wednesday LATB is having a game with a bunch of instagrammers and I'll be tuning in because a couple of the vloggers from Haslet House will be on there. If they weren't on there I would have no interest whatsoever.

My guess is that it's very competitive for viewers these days. I saw even WPT has a cash game now. There is of course Poker Go which draws a large audience for their subscription product and will begin providing free streams as well. Then you have Poker Night in America which airs Poker Night Live once a week on TV and also streams live twice a week on Twitch from the Gardens Casino. Then you have other streams too like Stones and even Bellagio had a live stream (RIP?). In order to survive these streams need viewers. In order to get viewers they need players that people want to watch.

LATB’s business is based on selling access to an archive for $199/year. They don’t base their business on stream revenue (or they shouldn’t).

If they actually read the chatter and the forums they could read about Armenian Mike being terrible for the game and Harry is terrible for the game for being a first class a-hole every chance he gets but there they are every week.

If one person out of a 10 player lineup can’t be a random and it not be the end of the world then the business model they use is too fragile and needs reworking.

And yeah they gimmick it up for a day or a week every month or two but then it goes back to the same 10-12 guys taking up the 10 spots night in and night out. LATB has gotten stale.

Mike is the absolute worst. He is loose pre, but a ****ing nit post, who postures his ass off for 5 minutes in the most trivial/straightforward spots (when everyone knows he's folding), basically every other hand.

It's proposterous & super painful to watch. The pointless tanking. The non-stop unstacking/stacking of his chips as he 'decides'. The endless speeches. FML. Does he have a successful Instagram we're not aware of, hence why he's always invited back?

W/ that said, you're a good commentator Wayne, and represent the show well. Weez (?) sucks though. More Dan Z & Gary itb iyam.

Thanks, just doing what a can. A bit about Weez is that he represents the dream of making it from the chat, to on screen, to on the booth and now being a thing in poker.

Kane Kalas, JJ De La Garza, Ryan Feldman and I talked about commentating on Around the Felt 5/28/2018 .

I assume the $100/$200 Friday games will return after the WSOP?
Friday June schedule is all $25/$50

More Armenian drama.

Ryan with second-nut boat on the river. Checks to Armenian Mike, who has already bluffed over-shoved 10x numerous times. Mike pushes the rack (approximately $10k into a sub-$2k pot) fully into the middle. Ryan insta-calls. Mike takes back rack, claiming that it was a joke. Floor called. Floor has absolutely no spine. After about 10 minutes of whining and arguing, Mike relents by leaving his rack before departing.

So good

Also, worst floor person ever putting that on Feldman. Garrett's take on the whole situation was 100% right.

Weird spot though since on non-Friday shows half the table soft-plays and checks it down with each other. I mean, I can see where AMike could think it might play as a joke... But he 100% needed to guve Feldman the 10K

Not sure if it was because of the home game nature of LATB. Regardless, floor should have shut everyone up, gotten the story from the dealer, and made the call in a matter of fact way. Instead, the floor was pretty much a wallflower, which, like you stated, put Ryan in a really bad spot as producer of the show. Garrett was the de facto floor.

Yeah, I mean the floor basically said that it was a bet and a call... But then was kinda like "But it's up to you [Feldman]"

Such a bad spot.

Especially since he shoved tonight probably 4-5 times in which he was betting like 5K into $1,000 etc so he was shoving ridiculous amounts all night. So to say it was a "Joke" this time is BS, and if Feldman check-folds a better hand he's most-likely no longer "Joking"

Armenian mike getting mad and saying it's a joke is actually crazy, also his 're-enactment' saying he barely slid his rack in when he actually snap shoved it in close to the board cards even lol, Also AFIK with his play he is probably wealthy IRL and seems like a cheap angle.

Super ****ty spot for ryan but I am surprised he waited so long to just take the money in a spot where he ( ryan ) did nothing wrong.

Also if ryan folded mike wouldn't be like haha! joke take your money back
