Re: Live at the Bike

I don't know how Alec Torelli manages to get away from KK on a 325 flop against a super aggro opponent (just watch the rest of the hands in the video for evidence), maybe he really is capable of consistently making sick live reads.

Any thoughts on the PLO game from last Monday (3/6)?

Was that the one with Gary?
I watched some... I like watching Gary.

I play 1/2/5 PLO occasionally, but for the most part I kinda skip the PLO episodes

Charles mentions Bearjew was stuck in traffic for 2 hours, he says he developed a system to turn $1,000 into $8,000 easily

Take $1,000 bet Bac and win
Take $2,000 bet Bac and win
Now, take your $1,000 back and bet $3,000 and win.

Re: Live at the Bike

What do you guys think of Hashtag King?

We have him coming for a week the week of May 1. Gonna do a bunch of heads up battles + a couple ring games.

And Doug Polk & Hashtag King committed to playing each other heads up on the show in the fall. Details to come later, but it's going to happen.

Re: Live at the Bike

Hashtag king is entertaining and good for the game.

I like Doug, but tell him the game starts at 6, when it really starts at 7.

Im getting a little annoyed with the "checking it down" between certain players.

But overall I like the improvements made in the last couple of months. Great job

Hashtag is good for the game. That is going to be a good week to watch. Game is great when you have less nits in it (Mike, JJ etc)

Keep up the good work, show has been great lately.

What is line on Hashtag having a roll this Fall for the Polk match?

Honestly I don't get LATB's worshipping of Doug Polk. I don't care if he's the greatest heads up player ever - heads up poker live is 100% garbage to watch.

Brings in viewers, some viewers then might sub.
I love Doug, but I'd rather watch him full ring, like you said HU is boring.
Especially if it's with Hashtag, who's doing shtick. He's the prop-comic of the poker world.

Yeah sure viewers spike to 5k when he's around but they go back to the upper 1k's as soon as he blazes out again.

For me, I tried watching his YouTube stuff and I felt I was just getting yelled at all the time. Had to turn it off. I get that he's building his brand and yadda yadda yadda. The kids might like it but whatever.

Watching HU sucks LATB. Record it and give it to the subscribers or something. Don't make me have to find something else to watch that night.

What's your favorite hand? Serious question guys. Please don't troll.

[ ] q5o
[ ] t2o
[ ] 86o

q2o omitted or else it would have gotten 100%

I'm just glad I no longer have to deal to him. Because of his antics, he is extremely polarizing. I think he is good for the entertainment value of the game, but HORRENDOUS for content. He slows down the game, breaks rules repeatedly, nonstop plugs his social brand, and aggravates the LATB regulars (both players and viewers). IMO, I think he detracts from the quality of the LATB product way more than he adds to it. I, for one, will be tuning out any time he is on.

I'm entertained the most by the larger NLHE games, and I'll watch shows with certain commentators if I'm trying to improve aspects of my game. I always like watching Action Asian Wayne play some PLO though!

He's like a Kardashian without the sex tape.
Annoying shameless self promoter and so self absorbed that he doesn't realize that he actually bad for the game.

There's a big difference between being a talker at the table and just being a big mouth. The former is good for the game, the latter not so much.

People like him make me ask for the table change button.
