Starting a new thread to cover the "New Game" in town at Hustler Casino started by Nick Vertucci and Ryan Feldman. Right now there is no firm start date due to COVID-19 casino closures but they are hopeful to be up and running in January 2021. They have already posted that some of the LATB regulars have committed to playing (Ron, Gman, etc). Lets discuss and move discussion of that show to this thread once it is up and running rather than in the existing LATB one.

I hope they have some lower stakes games. I played on Live at the Bike a few times years ago in the 1/3 or 2/5 games or so, and it was great to study my play. Also useful to watch other games to see how people at those levels play. Now that LATB is $5/$5+$50 minimum, (1) I'm sure not playing in them and (2) not even watching them, as I feel I don't learn how to play against opponents at my level.

great stream but that DFAF guy has no energy whatsoever. That and he sounds like a real soyboy. He got offended when that other announcer said some of the players were losers as in losing in the game

That's just kind of his vibe/energy, chill-cali guy. If you listen to his podcast, it's the same, you kind of get used to it and his cadence.
I watched VERY little, but it was kind of hard to hear him during this PLO game with all the drunken shouting.

Oh, I wanted to add that the PLO game structure was super weird. 10/20 with a 1.5k max buyin??? The 2-2 game at my casino is 2k max. Game was way too shallow, not sure why they did it this way.

I feel like DGAF and Tuchman don’t really work together, but maybe it’s just because I’m not a huge fan of Tuchman’s commentary.
I like DGAF on the big Friday games because at least you know he’s been there…
Whereas the guys on TCH up front say they play $1/2 and $2/5, or someone like JJ at LATB, I don’t know, it would be like listening to Mitch Trubisky dissect Brady’s play.

Well, when talking about Garrett/Andy etc. Obviously the game is filled with a ton of Trubiskys as it is.

The PLO where I play is 75% stack match but it’s 1/2/10 and the initial buy in is $100-$500
I feel like all live PLO is/plays super super short

Definitely not a crime or anything, but on the first PLO stream the announcer mentioned a couple times that he does stand-up comedy, upcoming shows, etc., but in 5 hours of talking, never said anything remotely funny. Anyway, my real reason for commenting is this:

Q: How many times do you have to hear someone call an inside straight draw a "gutty" before it stops sounding stupid?

A: I don't know, but after watching the Hustler PLO stream, I can tell you it must be more than 11.

I didn't see much of the recent PLO stream so did not hear anyone say "gutty".

I would rarely ever call it an inside straight draw, but I would never say gutty. I'm fine with gutshot.
