Hi - apologies if this is not the correct forum to post this in, but since I seem to get a lot of traffic from twoplustwo, I wanted to let people know that I will not be able to make any videos for the next couple of weeks and my channel may be completely deleted soon.

Apparently, PokerGo removed around 1/2 my videos and issued 2 copyright strikes against me for using their footage in my hand analysis videos. Of course, they have every right to do this, as it is their IP.

However, I reached out to PokerGo prior to the first time I used their footage, but they didn't respond and I didn't think they cared since many others use their footage on youtube and I felt that the additional free exposure could only benefit their company.

Apparently they disagree. So if my channel suddenly disappears one day, you will know why.

it's their right, but i'd say your videos are transormative and allowed under fair use. i could be wrong tho.

Which btw was the most hilarious poker video ever made. Doug rank second with top 5 Selbst punts. The work you did in this video with Dwan going fishing was amazing. Guess it was not a problem for PokerGO, but two small cry babies being exposed for what they truly are. People with low capacity normally don't like it when they are called out. You deserve all the cred for this video!

This sucks, I can only imagine how long these videos took to make.

Not currently, but I guess I need to start looking into other options since I think my channel is disabled if anyone else files a claim.

Yeah the video was hilarious, but also in bad taste.
It’s generaly agreed upon in the poker world that as a good player you don’t berate the fish at the table. So why is it okay to berate the fish on YouTube where thousands more people will see it?
You could get away with making a quick joke or two about how he plays poorly but that video went way to far. Are you trying to get the guy to quit poker? I would be pretty embarrassed if I was Alex and saw this. Fish will be less inclined to play on TV if whenever they make a bad play they know someone will might a video like this.
So what the guy doesn’t study poker. Doesn’t mean he’s ******ed, he just has other things he prefers to do with his time.
I appreciate the attempt to add comedy to your videos but this was a very low blow. If I worked at PokerGo I wouldn’t want you using PokerGo clips for your YouTube channel anymore either.

These video's though are super bad for poker in not only making population improve sense but also just the berating fish aspect also.

Like I think it's way better to needle "pros" who play poorly but yeah berating fish who might get sent the video by friends is pretty fine line. Like have a joke with your friends about a rec behind closed doors but can't blame poker go for wanting to say gg no re to you after all this.

Mate I really enjoyed your last video and your crazy humour cracked me up. Hope you sort this out, others do similar videos with no issues so don't know why they are going for you.

I've never understood the "berate bad play by recreationals" so that all the viewers can feel smarter than someone

I don't mind criticizing professionals who have real strategies, not the rich guy whose having a good time and knows he's losing in the game. There's nothing to learn from a bad player playing badly.

There is something to learn when a good player plays poorly
