Can't believe people actually like Scott Seiver. Dude is such a douche. He's like the fat negreanu.

Is Coleman disbalanced with preflop aggression? I don't know a ton about his game but I would assume his 5bet range this deep is wider than AA/KK.

I'm not sure using Jungleman as your evidence for not liking Seiver is the best strategy

his hand was pretty face up based on action/sizing/how deep they are

There must be levels to this that I clearly don't understand but 4 betting with pocket nines seems fishy to me. It worked out but your only equity is spiking a set.

He was 4 betting for value against Colmans 3 bet range in that particular spot I assume.

In order for that to be true, don't you essentially have to believe that Coleman has more bluffs than value hands in his range in that spot? How likely is that?

99 wtf.

I really was expecting JThh, QThh, or KQhh that he turned into a bluff.

Sick laydown by Colman.

You have to wonder, though, were the implied odds (~12.5:1) really enough if Colman was able to get away from AA after a pretty good runout for his hand. Seiver flatted the 5bet for 46k and only got another 170k from Colman postflop.

I think Seiver cold 4bet 99 because he doesn't want to have a 3bet flatting range where he caps his range and is going to get bluffed off the best hand too often postflop. So he is either folding or 4betting which isn't a bad strategy since they are so deep and Colman's 5bet value range is probably only AA.

Maybe he just wants to have some hands in his 4-betting range that can call 5bets. Also, stacks are very deep and these are top level players, there are also balance and GTO considerations.

The balance and GTO reasons are why I think that it was a horrible play. Medium and low pocket pairs have horrible equity if you miss your set. I think that it would have been a better play if he had played the hand the exact same way with 7-8 or 8-9 suited.

Man, I was so disappointed by that hand. People had been talking about that hand for months. I was expecting some ridiculousness like that Dwan vs Ivey bluff hand in HSP. Instead it was just a fairly standard cooler. Great laydown by Coleman though.

Well **** the K of hearts was on the board so that takes out quite a bit of combos.

And on top of that Colman had the Ace of hearts.

They need a thread about that in HSNL.

He was sure Kirk had nothing at every point in the hand but it's still pretty sick because Kirk can still shove nothing postflop and it's not like Robl can call off queen high and be good.

Also Bill Perkins is hilarious, regardless of how he plays. Takes down a $500k pot from Rick Salomon and says "Now I've got some gambllin' chips". So sick lmfao only Bill could say that.

Anyone have an idea how Robl's plan post flop after floating flop? Let's say a J, or if the board paired again, or another 7 comes?

He's for sure 100% not putting Matt on a wired pair or a 7. He's thinking the ace is maybe a really bad card for him when it comes on the turn but ultimately he decides Matt doesn't have an ace.

I think Robl is always shipping every turn besides the K or A. His thought process has to be that Matt just doesn't have anything on the flop and is also never committing his whole stack when he bets the flop so small.

Also he shows the bluff for two reasons 1) he knows Matt was bluffing and wants him to think his horrible line (and lines like it) would have worked if he had just committed more money to it 2) he wants other people at the table to maybe think he actually bluffed Matt off a wired pair when Matt is the biggest calling station at the table.

Was Kirk was telling the truth when he said he'd shove any turn but an Ace? He did only have around half the pot left in his stack. If so, after Robl floats flop he has to hope Kirk just check/folds the turn the vast majority of the time. Would shoving flop be better then?

After watching latest episode of HSP I am liking Rick Salomon more and more. Guy is a boss, plays super fast and has been playing exceptionally. When I grow up I want to be Rick Salomon.
