Yay or nay? ICM

I don't actually know how to play poker anymore...So is this standard?

Yatahay Network - 100/200 NL - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): 20.7 BB
UTG: 8.54 BB
CO: 24.1 BB
BTN: 24.08 BB
SB: 12.57 BB

5 players post ante of 0.13 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.12 BB) Hero has 8 A

fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 12.44 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 11.44 BB

Flop: (25.51 BB, 2 players) 4 Q 3

Turn: (25.51 BB, 2 players) J

River: (25.51 BB, 2 players) T

Hero shows 8 A (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 60%, Flop 70%, Turn 5%)
SB shows K J (Flush, King High)
(Pre 40%, Flop 30%, Turn 95%)
SB wins 25.51 BB

Re: Yay or nay? ICM

Yes, this is standart. You would need some real specific reads that he is supertight and not jamming nearly enough in these spots to think about laying this down.

Well played.

Edit: He "should" be jamming over 60% which he is probably not doing. If he shoves less than 29% (something like A2s, A8o, K6s, KTo, Q7s, QTo, J7s, JTo, T7s, 97s, 87s) you can fold A8s, but this should only be the case for a really tight player or if this is a small/micro stakes STT. It comes down to how your perceive villain, but your default should be a call imo.

Super snap call. I think the only time I’ll think about what range the opponent is shoving is a super fishy player who literally limps all hands. Even then this is too strong of a hand to fold just something to keep in mind.
