What happened to SNG grinders? What happened to SNG grinders?

I'm just wondering what actually happened to all the people that were grinding SNGs for a living on Stars, especially 9 man and 6 max. I get that a lot of the old grinders either moved on to bigger things or quit poker, but what happened to the new grinders that took their place? The forum used to have a lot of people discussing strat and people full time grinding SNGs for the whole year. Did new regs to SNGs not learn the skill of mass multitabling? Did they not learn ICM as well even though the tools to do so are better now than ever? The arguments I seem to hear are "games are dead" (not true) "no rb anymore" (true, but not really needed for low to midstakes) and "too many regs" (games are AT LEAST as soft as the were 6-7 years ago, if not softer). Wheres all the people grinding out 30-40k playing low to mid stakes 9 mans, 6 max, and 18 mans, it's certainly still very possible to do so.

Just out of curiosity, but why haven't you been active posting here / discussing strat?

Ah okay. My guess would be that indeed most former sng grinders moved to other games, and the few crushers that remained don't want to share to many insights? I am a low stakes rec so I am definitely speculating here, interesting question though

I know that most of the old grinders have moved on, but usually you get a new batch of grinders that take over. Turbo SNGs are one of the few games left that haven't really gotten much harder in recent that still have good winrates. You certainly won't get rich playing them but decent money is still possible and yet there are tons of low stakes players grinding out meager winrates playing 10NL but not nearly as many people grinding SNGs for a living as there used to be.
