Was supposed to be a MTT but only 8 showed up so i'll put it here. I am very new to live poker and general only play with my crappy friends and family.

$225 entry, $720 for 1st $432 for 2nd, $303 for 3rd

5 players remain, i'm big chip leader with ~80k. 2nd is around 30k.

BB with 5s5d, 4th position makes small raise , small blind and myself call.
Flop is 5c6c8s. SB checks, I check, 4th jams all in for 15k.

Small blind over the top all in with 20k.

2 all ins with low set, if i win this hand i have > 75% of the chips heads up. I snap called.

Looking back I'm not so sure thats the correct play. Best case scenario was maybe against aces and 2 pair? Crushed by a higher set and 35% against a straight. Did I make the right play?

Ended up being against 7c8c and 6s8d. Actually an alright spot for me, straight flush draw is favored but not by much i believe.

He hits the straight on the river and i'm now barely chip leader with 4 left.

You should never be folding here. Draws in your opponents range are a big part of the reason this is a snap call. Your citing those draws as if they'r a reason to fold. Your post is pretty results orientated. Would you have posted this hand if you had won it?

You had a massive chip lead and still led after losing the hand. Losing has a negligible impact on your equity. If you were facing a call for most of your stack, that's a different story.
