Third hand...play it too fast? Third hand...play it too fast?

Third hand of a 9handed SNG on ACR, 10min blinds, 10/20 (2ante) blind level.

Folds to me in the cutoff with 89cc, I open to 69.

Button folds, SB 3bets to 158, BB folds.

I call.

Flop Jc 5c Td.

SB leads for 177.

I rr to 411.

SB quickly shoves, but not insta...a little slower than insta.

I call and brick out 5d, Kh.

SB shows QQhs, so when the turn pairs the board I lose two outs.

I mean, I put SB on AA-TT, AKs-AQs pf. When SB 4bet shoves the flop SB is almost never bluffing here I think so at best SB has JJ-TT for a flopd set (55 is unlikely from the pf action) and could still do this with AA-QQ, but not the AKs or AQs unless the suit is clubs which kills my flush draw leaving me grasping for a nonclub Q or 7 for the straight...running 8 9 for a backdoor two pr doesn't even help me as it would give SB the straight.

Is this just a check/call down situation on the flop/turn, did I play it too fast? Or is the real answer to just muck the 9hi pf in such a structure where one can afford to be extremely patient?

In such a structure is it best to be patient early on or to widen the range in order to see more flops for a cheap price?

I played semi-pro on FTP years ago but never nlhe, was strictly a fl hi/lo player, mainly stud8 and razz hu sngs, trying to learn how to grind nlhe sngs.

Thanks for the help. Cheers.

Clear fold preflop then.
However, this is a very very tight preflop range.

My initial thought was openfold pre, once you got 3-bet from SB you can again think about folding unless you really think you have a big edge on the player or on the table in general and later on can put your inflated stack in to a good use...

About OTF these are the flops you hoping to get with 98s where you both have decent showdown and bluff equity even though it might be a little tricky as against strong ranges you will be drawing dead against higher flush draws, fold this reason I'd be just jamming the flop instead of smallish reraise size. Calling might be fine as well but I don't like the reraise size it does not accomplish too much. Anyway once you decided to call the 3-bet a flop this good the only question in should be what is the best way to stacking off.

Regardless again, this spot does not worth much unless you can really pwn the table with your double stack later on, this both depends on your skill edge and how good the other players are

Hey buddy , 1st i think that's an easy fold pre ...
As played to the flop :
If you put your opponent on TT-AA, AQ+ ... I dont see any point on reraising the flop...just call ... if you dont hit your hand on the turn and your opponent continues firing just fold and save yourself chips for later stages of the tournament...In general risking your stack in early stages of a Sng is not a good option..
