I think you have to 3b to thin field and iso original raiser. AQo is not fun to play in a family pot. And a 3b can extract more information about original raisers range. If he calls he probably doesnt have QQ+ for example.

this early, I don't mind the flat since you're oop and already have 4 in.

Yes, a good sized raise may thin the field, but I've also seen way too many times where you get 3 out of the 4 calls. Now you're oop in 4 way, overly bloated pot with A high. I prefer to save that kind of move until later when the pot/blinds are a bigger percentage of my stack.

Just out of curiosity, what would be your 3 bet size?

Thanks for the reply i see what your saying about waiting for bigger blinds

If i was to 3 bet i think i would put in 320

now continue..say you get 3 callers and now are oop with AQo with that flop...what do you do?

IMO, if you're going to just play simple, straight foward poker, (which I think is the best way to play OOP and early in this game) then there really is no reason to 3 bet in this situation. Make sense?

i would always 3bet in that spot, no one its repping a really strong range when they flat, except for the OR who can also have hands that u dominate, going multiway with AQo OOP its not a cool idea, and being early on the game stacks are pretty deep so there its no need to get stacks in, u can squezze and play post flop if u have to fold at some point so be it but IMO its higher EV to 3bet this spot.

This early in a micro SNG I'm not looking to play big pots unless I know I'm ahead. AQo is not a monster and with several callers there's a likely a pair, A-x suited or suited high connector that could all get you into trouble. Also you'll have to act first on every round so you'll struggle to know where you stand unless you hit a full house or 4 of a kind. You'd have to raise quite large to thin the field sufficiently and could then lose a big pot unnecessarily early in the tourney so I'm definitely not 3-betting here. Having said all that you are getting nearly 5-1 and the call represents a very small portion of your stack so I think I'd call and only continue if I hit, as you did.
