Question about learning better SNG Shove/Fold tactics Question about learning better SNG Shove/Fold tactics

Sorry if this has been asked before. I did a forum search and found some relevant pieces of info but thought id post about it to get more general advice as this isnt such a spot specific question but more of a "What should I study at this point" Question.

I generally play MTTs, but find its not often easy to delegate 10 hours at a time to one session, so in the meantime I fill my time with SNGs. I have played a lot and do decent, but I want to take my game to the next level and wonder if anyone had any good recommendations for learning ICM better, Push/Shove/Call ranges etc.

I really am more of a creative player and looking at long winded explanations of these things get quite boring pretty fast so maybe someone can recommend almost and idiots guide to this stuff?

Currently what im doing:

Going over hands in SNG Wizard through HM2.
Should I also look into ICMizer for reviewing spots?
I am also using SNG Wizard quiz mode off the tables as well.

My push/fold game is decent but I know there are some leaks..im hoping maybe you guys have some good recommendations, sites, videos, software or maybe I am on the right track already?

One thing I have noticed with applying SNG wizard is that in some spots I am a bit too tight, others a bit loose etc.

Also, what were some breakthroughs you had regarding this type of thing?

sorry in advance for the somewhat long winded vague question but hopefully someone has some thoughts on study paths for these types of things.

Thanks!

Mark hands u're unsure, analyze in HRC/ICMizer/other software, enter reasonable estimation for ranges, repeat. It's no magic, just repetition, like vocabulary. U'll get a good feeling like "I know I would call J5s here vs population, not vs this guy tho", then the more important thing will be to have your idea of their ranges spot-on.
You can filter your db to see what ranges ppl usually jam/call on average and filter it for regs maybe to see the differences.

GL!

Thanks for the response, this makes total sense but just to clarify, what do you mean by filtering the (database?) to see ranges, in ICMizer/HRC this is a function? Thank you!

Multiple things you could do, one is filter out players you played a lot against (cause likely they're regs) and analyze the rest, cause they show avg population behaviour which readless is a good assumption
