25cent 10 man SNG, blinds are 50/100, me and villain (guy on Button) have roughly 2600. 8 people are left in the SNG.

Middle position guy calls, Everyone folds to the Button who limps. The SB completes and I check. I am holding K 9

Flop>>> $400
4 Q 8
SB checks
I check
Middle positon guy checks
Button guy leads for $600
SB folds
I push all-in

I thought about betting out the first time around, but figured check raising all-in would be better given the stack sizes. If I bet and get re-raised all-in I have to make a call where I am more likely to be behind where as check-raising gives me additional fold equity. Also getting it in now where I am roughly a 50% favorite versus 8x and 4x and 44%ish versus a Q. I can beat a lower flush draw. The higher flush draw sucks, but more Ax diamonds are betting preflop. Also if nobody bets then coolio, I get a free card to a flush and potentially bluff the turn if I miss.

the overbet by Button guy kind of stopped me for a bit, but after consideration of his possible holdings I decided shipping all-in was best even though my fold equity is probably quite narrow.

what are your thoughts on the matter?

Also, what range do you give the Button guy readless?

Nobody can give you accurate ideas on what to do at any point without reads.

Step 1. Read top of the STT Strategy section (stickys)

Step 2. Re-post with said new information (gives you a rough guidline how to post correctly for proper evaluation).

Step 3. Analyze replies

Step 4. Profit

Kinda don't get what you mean. I mean you can't have a read on everyone all the time.

Say you sit down at a Hu SNG. You hold 77 and bet the minimum. The other guy raises to 3x what you bet. Since you have no reads, by your logic, you can't make a decision which doesn't really make sense.

It's a 10 man SNG, 2 people have busted out, and from the description it looks like you have both doubled up at some point. How do you not have a read at this point, have you not been watching the other hands that were played? Your example doesn't match this scenario because this is not the first hand, or even the second hand.

I don't remember the hands he was in. I think I was reading something else on my computer and wasn't paying too much attention to what was happening at the table. I was somewhat focused, but the only information I had at the time was only subconscious information if even that.

Perhaps fix your focus leak before worrying about this leak. It will boost your ROI% much more than figuring this hand out in the long run.

You need to discipline yourself. If you can not play a session without surfing the web you might as well just play micro/small stakes forever.
