I know the basics like, it takes a stronger hand to call a shove than it does to shove, push lighter in late position than in ep, etc. I'm just trying to make my game a little better so I can have a higher ROI in these things.

Also, can I track these games in HEM? How big of a sample size would I need to determine if I'm a winning player?

Anybody?

Collin Moshman once did a video for these on Stoxpoker. You might try asking Cardrunners to make that available.

^^ yeah that is what I did but I didn't know if there was a more +ev way to play a situation like that so early in the match.

Another spot:

Say I am on the button with KK, blinds at 20/40 and somebody in MP makes it 120. Also assume everyone has basically 1500 chips. Do you guys just shove there as well?

If not and you three bet, how much would you make it and how do you play a flop of A58 rainbow?

Make it 360 pre, and if flop is A58, then check back flop and re-eval turn

Hi all, just wondering what you make of this. Both villans are playing around 40/15 after ~17 hands. UTG has already raised and then reraised AI on an OESD from EP with JTo.

Shoving pre is super standard.

Nope. It will give you an idea of how you're running, but the payout structure skews it a lot.

I limp in early position with 99. Thinking back perhaps I should have raised in this position? I know I played this wrong. Anyway, guy in middle position raises to 240, and a guy round from him moves all in. He is the chip leader by the way.

I would recommend watching Jorj95. These have so many showdowns that you will end up seeing the player's hands a ton. Only thing is, he usually plays the highest stakes hypers that run, so youd have to figure out what adjustments need to be made for the 280s

Can anyone tell me how common this is? This is mostly the $16s and $13 6max turbos on stars. Also some $25 6max , $22 non turbos, $6.50 18 mans.

what examples of plays do you class as high variance or low variance?

why do you choose to make the high or low variance play?

how do these plays effect ROI?
Beginner/Basic Question Thread Quote

Example for high variance: Making a neutral EV move. Like calling someones push with a hand that is BE vs his pushing range.

Low variance play: Making a highly +EV or -EV move. Like calling someones push with a hand thats extremely -EV/+EV vs his range.

It affects your ROI in that way +EV increases your ROI -EV decreases your ROI.

Short and simple hope it helped .
