Hmm treat top pair like the nuts against this type of player. As played, idk maybe check back but honestly in this spot, I’m fine with mucking a hand such as AKo to a check raise.
Meh the spot you stated, I feel you should almost always Cbet flops with at least one high card especially when it’s headsup and villian is oop. Live players fold way too often with mid pairs or bottom pair in spots like this and it’s a simple laydown if you are check raised I feel. Always think about what your opponents calling range is from sb or bb. A mp opens range is generally going to be way stronger than a sb or bb flat. You should be betting a high freq of flops that hit your perceived range well in comparison to what a defenders range is.
I guess here, you can check back also..... if villian checks back turn... it generally is a sign of weakness and you can bet turns with confidence you should be able to find many folds.
