Re: 6max DoNs

I don't think anyone who has figured your questions out will be willing to share that much info.

Get Wizz, configure it and learn where it fails(high blinds bubbles wizz will be too loose if you're big and too tight if you're small, etc), develop a feel for the game and make topics on spots you're not certain about. Fwiw imo the difference between 4man DoN bubbles and 6man DoN bubbles should not be that huge, what you're supposed to do is still heavily dependant on your chipstack, though you should obviously be a bit looser in certain spots.

Re: 6max DoNs

Thanks for your response!

With Wizz can I use it to figure out a good starting range or is it just for the push and fold phase?

Re: 6max DoNs

I play the small stakes 6 max non-turbo dons on ipoker and i am a small winning player.
heres my 2 cents worth:

I basicaly use the same basic stratagy as i would use in 10max dons, nitty in early rounds and ICM push/fold in later rounds. It dosnt mean I dont play "some poker" in the early rounds I'm just aware to be extra careful when i get involved (generaly getting involved in early rounds when I have a big hand or getting in cheap with pps or playing some connecters ip.) remember when two of your opponents get involved with each other with the posability of one of them busting your equity goes up quite a bit from what it was before they didn't. Dont be one of the guys who takes 50/50s, you are just handing out free equity to your opponents, so play tight.

mid rounds and latter rounds, steal relentlesly from the guys who are playing super tight and not playing back, stick in 2.5 bb raise into there blinds and do it most of the time until they play back, some will just fold every time. if they are fish/loose dont steal as a rule unless your pushing a ICM + ev spot. As a general rule: Tight oponents are to steal from and push lighter into and loose oponents are to get paid off from and to push tighter into

Concentrate on wiz equities not starting hand charts: something i did was just play one or two games at a time and review my hands immediatly after they have been recored in HM using HM/wiz

later rounds: be aware of your relative stack to your opponents, sometimes 1200 chips is a good stack if your on the bubble with some guy on 700 chips or that there are loose agro guys on your table, sometimes 1200 chips is just waiting to be pushed at the first opertunity.

use wiz, you may be surprized at how light you can push in some spots and how tight you should be folding in others.

Re: LC: Official study buddy Thread- read OP

hi

looking for someone to learn with/work with. i can install any messanger, but i like idling in irc 24/7. best way to talk would be irc/quakenet for me, but im fine with anything, including voice software. english/german.

im currently playing the 6s on fulltilt, trying to get to the 11+1s sooner or later. this month were 1700 games with 10% roi at the 6s (+rb). its my 4th month of sngs and my roi for the other ones was -5/-1/+5 - seems like its increasing

did small stabs at the 11+1s but it didnt work out that well. my review shown it was mainly because the cards just hated me in a smallish sample.

looking to talk about various things concering stts like closing leaks and everything else

Looking for another everyday, winning, experienced player who is interested in improving their game to go over tournaments with via email/skype. I'm currently playing 6.5s and 12s on FT with an ROI of about 6% over several thousand games.

Shoot me a PM with your screenname and lets do it.

Re: LC: Official study buddy Thread- read OP

This thread is huge. Is there any summary or established groups anywhere in here, or are we all just spamming contact info and hoping somebody notices?

Playing $1.20 6-max on Stars- former $6.50 6-max and $10 DoN player trying to build a new bankroll. Probably looking for group discussion, but I'd be down for anything. PM? =)

Recreational player trying to get serious. I play micro SnGs on Stars. 9 man turbo / reg and 18 man.

Prefer talking over skype since it just seems easier and you can screen share.

Group or buddy are both fine.

Re: LC: Official study buddy Thread- read OP

I currently play mainly $16s (STTs), and sometimes 45mans to mix it up on stars atm. I've only played aobut 3k games so far, and I think im a pretty modest winner overall, maybe around 5-7% max. Ive watched a lot of videos and one of my biggest strengths is mass tabling without letting it affect my game as much as others. I'm really looking to get better at tough push/fold spots, specifically vs regs. Feel free to PM me.

Unhappy Re: LC: Official study buddy Thread- read OP

I'm trying to become a serious player. Been playing about 8 months, about 5 hrs a day. I play micro 9 player sngs on ultimate bet, also played on stars and full tilt. I spent $600 on 1-1 coaching in last 8 months, didnt even realize I was spending that much. Finally decided to look into cheaper resources. Looking for other grinders to share ideas and improve.

Re: LC: Official study buddy Thread- read OP

New here, but looking to get involved and increase my analysis/study in order to maintain and improve my best game. I have been a recreational player for ~3 years, with some modest success, but I am really looking to take my game to the next level and make some decent money on a part-time grind, while looking for employment (just graduated from university before Christmas)
I am specializing in the 9 man STT Super Turbos on fulltilt right now (currently rolled for the $5.30s), and if there are any regs in these games around that wouldn't mind having a chat and just discussing anything related, etc. Let me know. Feel free to PM me here, I also have skype and msn so whatever is easiest. Also just any grinders in general that like to chat once in a while, etc. I always like having people to talk with while playing poker.
Look forward to getting more involved in the community here and starting to get my game in gear.

Cheers

Hyper turbo training for superturbo training

Hello fellow Push Fold grinders-

Basically, i am looking for a solid poker stars hyper-trubo ( hyper turbo , hyperturbos or what ever they are) grinder that would be interested in exchanging training / coaching for FTP 9man superturbo training / coaching.

I am a solid reg that plays mostly the 36-100 9man superturobs on FTP. And, because Im traveling in france for the next few months, cant access FTP.com , and am interested in learning the hyperturbs on starz.
I finished in the top 5 for total profit for 2010 for 9man 36-100 supers. Below is my sharkscope graph for my gamez. Plz let me know if anyone is interested... tyty and glgl zache

Uh, how about we try to take advantage of the new Stars home game shizz and set up some kind of real time, real money study group where everyone who ran can review HHs.

PM me I guess if you're interested in this at all.
