Hi all,

Could really do with some study tips if you don't mind sharing? I seem to be lacking ideas as to what to study, and the bits I think I should study I'm not sure how!

So I play stt both hyper 6max and 9man turbo. My study has mainly involved pre flop spots up to around 20-25bb. I have looked at bubble spots and icm in general. Example of study so far is using hem2 to filter for sb, unopened, bubble to check shoving ranges. Do same sort of filters for calling BB, resteals v button etc etc. I feel I have taken these searches as far as I can and can pretty much nail ranges in response to stack sizes, bubble, and villain ranges.

It gets complex postflop. E.g. 6max hyper with 10bb. Btn min raises my bb. I know I should defend wide, but how do I know what's profitable, as it's linked to whether I play fit or fold postflop, or if I check shove btn pair, draws, gutters etc etc.

If anyone has any study practices/ software they recommend be much appreciated!

I used to mark every hand I was unsure about. And then go through them.

There is a great programm for postflop, but I cant remember its name. And yes postflop spots are far far more complicated. You can spend hours modeling a single hand.

Also studying together with other players can help a lot.

Reviewing the postflop spots u're unsure with a program that can display hand vs range equity on different boards (there are a lot of these out there) is a good idea to start, then thinking about what that means for your decisions. Ask better players about hands and don't be afraid to ask "dumb" questions
