I don't think you will find many realastic scenarios where calling with KK will be -$EV.
After some quick scenarios in ICMizer I cannot find any.

I'm surprised the bb folded here. If you knew he was going to fold, then I think folding kk is ok (maybe?). But if he calls and doubles up, then we have to get it in the next sb or bb and, odds are, with a much worse hand. So I call here.

These type of tricky ICM spots cannot really be solved by logic (by which you probably mean intuition).
It is a hugely profitable call for you.

Took me a while, but I see why calling is hugely profitable.

Where is the cut-off tho? Queens must already be a lot worse.

I don't think we have to be absurdly tight here, we're hardly guaranteed a cash by folding. I should run it, but without doing so I'd guess at least TT+ are all fine given how short we are.
